Make extra money taking free paid surveys!
In this economy, many people are looking for ways to bring in extra money. Whether you are a stay-at-home mom or just someone who needs some extra cash, there are ways you can do this right from your kitchen table. I’m sure you’ve seen the ads on some websites offering to pay you cash for your opinion and wondered if they are legit. The good news is that they are – so long as you are smart about it and sign up for the right ones.
These opportunities go by a number of different names such as free paid surveys, market research, survey panels and consumer panels. There are many companies that claim to have exclusive databases of the companies that will pay you for you opinion and they charge you for access. Before we go any further I want to make sure you understand three basic principles:
Free Paid Survey Golden Rules
- Never, ever pay for access to “survey panel databases” or anything like that. NEVER. This information is not a secret and anyone who is charging you for it is RIPPING YOU OFF.
- You will not get rich doing paid surveys but like anything in life, the more time and effort you put forth, the better you will succeed.
- NEVER EVER PAY FOR SURVEY INFORMATION. That was so important it needed to be said again.
I put together a video addressing some basic information about free paid surveys. It may not answer all of your questions or alleviate all of your concerns, so feel free to ask questions afterwards and I will answer them as best I can.
If you want to get started and sign up for some of the legit survey companies, below are banners for ones that I have experience with. I have signed up for them, taken surveys for them and been paid by them and not experienced any problems. So, just click on the banner and away you go!
You may not get survey invites flooding your inbox from day one. Be patient and they will come. I notice it varies during the year so it might just be a slow time. Make sure that when you do sign up, you fill out as many of the “profile surveys” as possible. Usually they help you get more survey invites.
There are a ton more survey sites than I have listed here but these are the most consistent ones I have found and the ones I see the most surveys from. If you would like a complete list check out http://www.freepaidsurveys.net. They have a comprehensive list with ratings and reviews too.
If you would like some additional information, you can check out my Guide to Free Paid Surveys (still in progress), some miscellaneous articles about paid surveys that I have written, and definitely don’t miss the article I wrote that tells you about the types of survey companies to avoid.
If you have a question, absolutely feel free to leave a comment here or drop me an email via the contact form on my site and I’ll try and answer it for you.

Thanks for this list. I love Opinion Outpost and Inbox dollars. I will try these once I make more time lol
I am running a very small but interesting Internet marketing business. I used your post as a helping hand for my written assignment on Internet marketing.
Thanks so much, Kim! I’ve been trying to find out more about online surveys for a few weeks now and get conflicting data. Your post truly simplified everything for me! : ))) Can’t wait to get started! : )))
I am starting to get into these surveys now. When we first got connected to the net last summer, I tried some survey sites, but all they did was want me to complete “featured offers” and give them way more info than I should have. I have ended up getting telemarketing calls for stuff I never asked for (even though I am on the do not call list), had my telephone bill slammed for some $15/month charge I had no idea about and a constant flood of junk emails. All this because my husband had read an article about making money from online surveys.
I am a little more savvy now and ready to try it again. Thank you for the listings. They will be a big help. There is also another site called bigspot.com that NEVER charges you for anything and connects you to surveys.

It’s amazing what they will do to test a product!
Great info Kim! I have been doing surveys for Survey Savvy for over a year, so I can attest that they are legit.
I’m going to sign up for a few of these. Thanks Kim!
