After 2.5 years of growing it to almost my waist line, I just couldn’t do it.
Instead I cut off 4 inches of mine and 2 of Charlotte’s. It was a better compromise.
I am sure it looks the same in the front because I have always had layers, but the back is where it was super long.
I cut it all off to match my first set of layers.

Looks Wonderful I love the layers! I always cut my hair just like that but it seems that because its not nice and thick like yours you can never see them

I do the same thing. I grow it out and then I chop it off. I think it’s a control thing. When things get too crazy I cut it. I thing it’s some sort of symbolism for having control of something. Hey, I didn’t even need therapy to figure that out! LOL

I had let mine grow all the way down my back too, but for some reason lately it was getting so dry and looked terrible, so I cut it to my shoulders. I hate it, sigh. I asked for side swept LONG bangs and got shortish thick bangs. Yuck. But it does look healthier so I guess I’ll just let it grow again and maybe I’ll like it in about a year!
