Wow, a full year ago today we kicked off the blog! My DH used to tell me I couldn’t stick to a damn thing. I would start a project and quit, start a project and quit.
To be honest, I think I actually just like projects. But I stuck it out here on the blog for a year and I am quite proud of myself.
While I put out the majority of the actual content here, thanks are absolutely still owed to Alicia, Bridgette, Kim, Tanya, Jaqueline, Victoria, Sarah, Christy, Clarissa, Cat, Karen, Louise, Suzanne, Trisha, and about 100 more people that have contributed throughout the year in articles, ideas, and community movement. The blog or any of its accomplishments would not have been possible without them.
If you have been around the past year, we thank you and hope there has a been a post at some point out of our over 2000+ articles, that affected you. Whether we touched you, helped you, pissed you off, or made you think, we hope we moved you to emotion.
I am not a writer. I am not that funny. I have no real story to tell and half the time I just sit here and wonder what I will write next. I have no idea why you visit, but I am grateful that you do.
Thanks for putting up with me for the past year and we look forward to whatever the next year will bring. And no, I will still not be differentiating between your and you’re for the next year.
I am on strike.

Happy 1 year – a day late – but still happy 1 year none the less. I love this place and that is why I come back to read more. I have never been angry at your posts – most have been something I can relate to! Looking forward to another great year of reading your blog!

Happy Anniversary! Hope you all had fun in Chicago – honestly, it sounds like one big Sorority House/Cheerleader convention w/all the Drama etc I’ve read on some of the other blogs…. who knew there could be THIS much contention between a bunch of (Gasp!) WOMEN?!?!?
But I bet it was WORTH it – considering the swag you all went home with! Congrats again!
Congratulations on your first year! I heard the report on Mommy Bloggers on NPR the other day and heard your happy voice as they interviewed you! I was sad that they didn’t mention female bloggers that aren’t mommies at all, but I kinda figured the focus was on the Mommy part. Very cool to hear you mentioned, though!
