My daughter and I went and had some ice

cream this evening…I asked her if she wanted to go get some (she is 3.5 years old, it was a very quick YES!). All the way there, she swapped..she wanted strawberry, no vanilla, no strawberry. It was a serious decision. We pull into McDonald’s and they are OUT of ice cream. Which translates to “we didnt fill up the machine because we are lazy”. So we head to Wendy’s and I am trying to sell her on Vanilla. All Wendy’s has is frostys, chocolate or vanilla.

I suggestivly say “ooh, Vanilla, you want vanilla, right??!” OF COURSE she wants it. She took that. We get home and sit in the driveway and pull out the driveway chalks. And she puts down her Frosty and very seriously says “Mom, you are my best friend”.

Apparently ice cream visits are permanent BFF status.
