When I went outside today I saw my spouses shoes laying carelessly at the front door.
Which might not mean a lot to many houses….but here….
Oh…and not 100%, but….
So I am pretty sure my husband has a death wish.
And because I am a great wife, I am going to respect his wishes and leave his shoes out there.
Which has nothing to do with the $800,000 worth of life insurance policies or the fact that I would love to own a Lexus.
Just sayin.

Eek! Hate to break it to you but you’re in brown recluse country too.
I would NEVER go on that porch and probably never in the yard if I knew that thing was living there! EWWWWW!!! I have the chills just thinking about it!
I don’t think I could live somewhere where black widows were a problem. I have enough issues with the friendly, harmless spiders we have here!!
EEWWW!!!
I am all itchy now and will probably have nightmares about spiders.
I love your comment about life insurance, Chris might want to watch out. =P
Yuck. I’m all creeped out now. I started freaking when I put on my snow boots the other day because they’ve been in the basement since last winter and I was afraid a big spider would be hiding in them.
We don’t have many black widows, but we do have brown widows. I don’t have an $800,000 life insurance policy, so I always bring my husband’s shoes in. LOL!
I would have left those shoes out there too. Only because I am not my husband’s mother.
I *think* he left them out there to be kind because he was volunteering at soccer last night for the local high school and they came home dirty. Not that the spider cares.
Ewwww … I don’t how you stand living in a place with deadly spiders. I’d be a constant nervous wreck. He’s gonna end up on one of those Discovery shows about the guy that had to have his big toe chopped off because of a spider hanging out in a shoe.
Are the holes there for a reason? Can you fill them?
Just the THOUGHT of black widows freak me out.
They are weep holes for brick..to let moisture out. They are there for a reason. Every year we end up with like 3 black widows in the garage or under an unused plant container and then under the fence tops….we have to go searching them out, but I do know we have one in that hole.
Well, I guess I can’t tell you to fill them in, then!
