I also loved all the suggested names that y’all left in the comments, especially Raja. Additionally I considered Athena, Artemis, Erowyn, Xena, and Bleu..anyway, poor kitten was going to end up being called “kitten” if I dwelled on it much longer.
I woke up the other morning and decided to name her Gwendolyn; Gwen for short.
Charlotte hates it.

I hear ya on the Veto power! Gwen’s a pretty name.
Recently I adopted the stray 4-6 mo old Calico kitty that was living on my DD23′s doorstep outside her condo. I was supposed to take it to the h Humane Society but didn’t have the heart. She’s so adorable – and purrs like crazy. When we got her she was 4.7 lbs and now is about 6.5 lbs. ‘Lil Moomette, my granddaughter wanted to name her “Princess Barbie” – somehow I couldn’t see the Hubster calling her that, so since she’s a mottled brown/orange/black – I named her Mocha Latte! (Mocha) – There’s a video of me giving her a flea bath on my Vlog section!
Gwen is such a beautiful girl and I know she makes a perfect addition to your family. And so good of you to rescue her and give her a new forever home.

Aw, Gwen is a cute name! I remembered that I had favorite fire-themed names when I was a teen – I had three cats named Synge, Embyr, and Pyro. I still love those names.
I think it’s a great name. I always change my mind a few times with a pet before I settle on a name. Except for a cat I had named Damian. It was truly a fit.
