What kind of idiot would not put their kid in a car seat or seat belt? I mean seriously this girls was no older than 3 or 4 and wasn’t in a car seat or buckled somehow.
Now we live in a REALLY high traffic area in Florida and I see this all the time. I just don’t get why parents don’t have their kids safe & buckled…and yes there was a seat in the back she just wasn’t in it. And please excuse the cell phone shot…I had to do it. I just had to.

Oh my!!! I knew a girl once that let her daughter unbuckle herself once they hit smaller roads. It horrified me.
I’ve seen that, but not so much here. I’m not sure about other states, but in PA, the seatbelt law is a separate fine. Not having your child properly restrained is a felony. If a cop is having a bad day and they see you’re not wearing your seatbelt, they’ll pull you over for something stupid like a tail light, and get you for your seatbelt too. We also have seat safety checks where there are cops along the road specifically looking for children not restrained. They did the child restraint checks when we lived in MD too. They’d park in the median by our mall, stand outside their vehicles, and you had to drive 15 or 20 MPH through the check point so they could look in your car. Unfortunately the stupid parent quotient is only going to get higher with warmer weather.
I don’t take the car out of park until everyone is buckled.
ERRRR!!! Most of the time I dont say things about other parenting…but that is NEGLECT!
Oh wow… first of all in California driving while talking on your cell is illegal now lol! So it was VERY odd for me to see the lady talking… second what in the world!!! The little girl is practically bouncing around back there… she needs to be more worried about her daughters safety than that dang phone call! PERIOD!
If that’s not bad enough, if the woman doesn’t have the child locks on the poor kid could open the door and fall right out into traffic since she is loose in the car. My kids know to buckle up the minute they get in the car, I drilled it in their heads that the car won’t leave the driveway until they are!

“Oh yeah uh huh I’ll be right there just hang on my kid’s bouncing around in the back seat since I’m on my phone and not paying attention”
Sorry but what a dumbass
Instead of fine for this type of law breaker, since the threat of that obviously isn’t enough to make them “get it”, they should put them on a roller coaster without strapping them in. Lets see if they can hang on when they’re getting whipped around.
Sorry, I know that just sounds so spiteful but when I see this I see red. If you love your kids you strap them in!! Period! There should not be any excuse for an exception to the rule. My bro-in-law lives on a huge cattle ranch and he makes his kids buckle up even when they are driving around on the ranch. Not exactly any cars there but “you never know” is his theory.
On a brighter note*** love your site!
Every time we see this my children end up getting a HUGE lecture. Don’t you dare let me put the car in drive if you are clicked!
Mo always says, “Yes. Mom we know! You tell us everytime someone else is stupid.”
I can’t stand drivers like this. Do you really think you’re special enough to put your daughter’s life at risk and everyone else’s life on the road? No.
Send the shot to the local PD next time with their license number!

This pic equals danger all the way around.Don’t you wish you knew they would get caught? The sad thing is that they won’t! Poor kid!
Bad! Dangerous! People are crazy!
That pisses me off. I have 4 kids in car seats and there is no way they’d be roaming the car.
My girls are 13 & 19 now & the car doesn’t go until their seatbelts are on. Stupid, Stupid, Stupid. Looks like she’s pulling a “Britney”.
That’s freakin scary! Some people are just too stupid to have children!
That woman should get a HUGE FINE. The poor child is the one who will pay, obviously if she gets hurt. but even if she doesn’t get hurt, that mother is teaching that girl bad habits which will be hard to break!! She will grow into a teenager who doesn’t wear a seatbelt and talks on the phone while driving!! What a shame! As parents, it is our responsibility to think about the habits our kids form because of us!
I am LOVING that she is on the phone too. This is a recipe for a dead child.
