Bloggers are no longer just “bloggers” anymore. We have facebook fan pages, Youtube channels, MomTV shows, Radio shows….there are a variety of ways that we are reaching out and connecting to our audience.
I know that here at MomDot I have been through many forms of extracurricular interactions outside of just blogging. While I am mainly a forum community blog, I also connect by a Friday Night Live show, comment chat groups, and the soon to be Forum Friends Connection.
Friday Night Live has gone through a lot of changes the past year or so. It started out on Stickam in a live talk show where everyone met and talked in the comments on the blog. Generally we had a giveaway and at the end, someone won. That was fun…we should do that again.
Then it moved to a chat room inside the MomDot forums. Then it moved to Blog Talk Radio so I could interact with the audience by allowing them to call in (and the chatroom ON btr).
Everyone has their favorite way and every now and then I change platforms just for fun. I personally happen to like FNL on radio because it allows me to have a co-host. On stickam, I was getting a delay and inevitably always ended up cutting someone off mid-sentence. Not to mention the perverts that appear in your video stream while you are there.
I want to know what you do extra other than your blog. If you would connect your Blog Talk Radio shows and MomTV shows in the linky, that would be great for our audience (and me!) to find where you are most nights. I am also going to make a blogosphere “list” and publish in an upcoming post.
If you want to be included, just link below. Please make sure your linky is clarified with what type of show and what day it appears on.
For example: MomTV Show (tuesday 8:30) would be sufficient.
You can connect with me, and all the MomDot Chatters, every Friday night from 8:30-10pm central via our radio show at FRIDAY NIGHT LIVE. We also run an open chat that has between 25-40 chatters weekly. It’s nice to just let your hair down and do something that is brain dead…like listen to me talk about nonsense.
Hope to see you at our show and connect with you on yours!

I am going to be doing a MomTV show but it’s not for my Happily Blended blog, it’s called Date This Dad .. still working on getting the site up and running. Think Bachelor meets the View ….
I would love to find the time for a MomTv show…but oye, my time is stretched so thin already. We do have a Facebook fan page & I am usually on Twitter…so for now that is the extent of my involvement with social media. I spend a good deal of time on parent forums for special needs kids and I also contribute to other SN blogs & Complex Child emagazine. Boy now that I look at that…I am darn busy!
I used to be on MomTv – I think MomTv is FABULOUS and LOVE the producers!!!
You can see me on some momversations – I have another one coming up in the next week or so.
And for what it’s worth, I like FNL on the radio cause I can listen anywhere that my phone goes if i can’t be by the computer and I love your co-host, Kim
I don’t really do anything more than pull my blog postings onto my Facebook page (not a fan page). I should expand more, I’m sure. Maybe one day I will.
I don’t do anything extra outside of the normal twitter, facebook etc. I honestly don’t know how you guys find the time!
Starting in December, I will be hosting a MomTv show called Fairytales and Tiaras. It will be about raising girls positively. I can usually be found on Twitter or Facebook though. I’m a bit of an addict!
I have my Momtv show, Medicated Mommies, which I co-host with Kadi Prescott on thursday mornings at 11am EST. I also have a facebook network page and a fan page, but i never figured out how to use the fan page.
