Nubius Organics…saving the planet, one baby at a time (closed)

Nubius Organics…blending style with sustainability. Because our kids put out enough waste in their diaper Nubius Organics specialize in all sorts of amazing products that allow you to use your inner green thumb expressed outwardly.

They have offered us an adorable little onsie set made of Organic Cotton with cute little vegis on them for the little one in your life! (value $35)  In a pack of 3, this will keep your summer wardrobe going just a tad bit longer this year. Sizes are from 6months to 24 years. They also come wrapped in a neat little organic, reusable bag! ANd I personally find organic cotton looks so much less of a mess on our kids when they mess up their shirt then bleached cotton.

Fast Fact:Why Organic Cotton? Cotton uses approximately 25% of the world’s insecticides and more than 10% of the pesticides. The Environmental Protection Agency considers seven of the top 15 pesticides used on cotton in 2000 in the US as “possible, likely, probable or known” human carcinogens (acephate, dichloropropene, diuron, fluometuron, pendimethalin, tribufos, and trifluralin). For more information on organic cotton, see: www.sustainablecotton.org.

Let’s see…recycling, reusable bags, thrifting, cutting back, growing my own, green cleaning products, started recycling at work, cut down on energy consumption. So much! I would love to add giving these adorable onesies to my cousin for his new little girl to help them be a little green. =)

  2. Michelle says:

I have bought re-useable grocery bags, started recycling a lot more and stopped using plastic water bottles. I also stared repurposing plastic food containers (like cottage cheese or cool whip) for use in my craft room. They work great for little items and embellishments.

  6. Casey says:

A couple of things I have been doing to go green is I have stopped buying paper towels, I now use cleaning rags which do not bother me as much as I thought it would. I also started using cloth diapers on my daughter!! I love cloth diapers! Besides better for the environment they are really cute! :) I am also in the process of making reusable shopping bags.

  7. Going green…let me count the ways…
recycling, starting to line dry my clothes, doing art projects with my son out of recycled products from around our house, cleaning with green products, and creating Tag a Towel, so people can be clean and be green. Coming Fall 08!

  8. Molly Capel says:

    we are doing more recycling.

  9. Storm says:

We recycle everything we can, and we always use reuseable bags when we shop.

  10. lace says:

I use reusable grocery bags and reusable water bottles instead of disposable.

  11. Lori says:

Those are adorable. We cloth diaper while at home and then supplement with disposable when out and about or overnight. I’m not great with the cloth diapers, so at home it’s a lot easier to deal with because there’s no rush! Disposable diapers are pretty terrible, they are in a landfill for 500 years!!!

  12. Shannon says:

I try to use non toxic cleaners

  13. Jes says:

We use cloth diapers in this house! you know that saves a lot of garbage!

  14. Junglewife says:

We line dry our clothes instead of using a dryer.

  15. Teri says:

I am trying to go green by recycling as much as possible, using re-usable grocery bags, and making my own home-cleaning products!

  16. Jenny says:

I am using cloth napkins. And we got some kiddie napkins too so the kids are encouraged to use their ‘special’ napkins.

  17. Lindsay says:

I use re-usable shopping bags, I have energy efficient light bulbs, I’m growing my own veggies, I buy locally at the farmers market.

  18. Hollie says:

These would be great! We’re pros at recycling and hardly ever forget our reusable bags, even when we go to Target. Our new thing to try is composting since we just bought a house with a yard! I’m excited!
