Only In Alabama #3

I am so so so sorry for the blog the last two days. I have bought new hosting and have been FTPing the files over all day. We have a large site with a ton of stuff, so its taking awhile. And in the mean time, bluehost keeps logging us off our FTP so that is not making it go any faster. Hopefully by tomorrow, you will be able to log on and surf with no issues. We are proud that everyone comes to visit, but frustrated that our hosting cant seem to hang with us. HA!

So I am not really doing a lot of new posts since everytime I sign in, I get logged out. I did want to update with a picture I took though…

This is a main road behind my subdivision and I remember driving by doing a double take. Miniature horses in the front yard off the main road. I was cracking up. Only here…in good old country Alabama. Land of the rebel and nazi flags. And sweet little horses.

    Hi,
I am a 30 year old mother of two and my husband and I will be relocating to Alabama. We have worked hard and are, financially, well off. We are hispanic by decent. My parents were born in Spain and my in-laws were born in Puerto Rico, however they were all raised in this country. I here the Trussville area is nice, however I have heard there is racism against hispanics. Although I am aware you cannot make such a blanket statement is there truth to that. Since I am from Miami, and I studied in New York I have never experience racism but I have never been in the south. I am afraid for my children, but my fears may be unfounded. Can anyone give me insight on the Birmingham community?

    Many Thanks,
    Maite
