Only in Alabama, Take #2

I couldn’t resist another one today. On the way home from getting Charlotte from school, I got this little gem! I know………    Not. Sure. What. To. Look. At. First.

The swastika? The Marijuana blanket? The POW flag? Something for everyone! Entrepreneurship at its finest.

Oh, and don’t forget, you can buy a cowboy hat too. Christmas presents all around!

I don’t think this person is a republican.

I remember seeing a similar set up when we lived in Pensacola. The flag and towel seller was set up not too far away from the mobile entrepreneur selling Gulf shrimp.

Even when I lived in Birmingham (the big city) there was a person who tried to sell these on the side of the road in a very high-traffic area. All of his rugs and flags and towels? were kind of 90’s-chic.

He had Snow Leopard Pride like no one else.

Yep…looks like something sitting out in front of our local auto parts store here in South Georgia.

Is inspiring me to take my own pictures. Around here many times furniture for sale is set up with the blankets and flags–almost a mini living room where the buyer can imagine the possibilities for decor. So inspiring! Almost like Candace Olsen on a streetcorner!

I’ve got one for you…Here in my hometown, there is a house/trailer. I’m thinking the trailer was there first, then they added on a front part of a house, and a back part of a house. Anyway, it looks like someone rammed a trailer house right through a stick built house. I’ll send pictures! It’s comical!

Oh, but our RV’s here are Mexicans selling “mink” blankets. And I say Mexicans because They honestly look to be from Mexico.

After being in the south, the swastikas and confederate flags don’t surprise me a bit. People think the South is so “redneck,” but they forget about us up here in PA. You wanna talk Billy Bob stereotypes, I could give you some doosies.

We don’t have a RV, but I do see a display set up every now and then in a parking lot on the side of the road selling blankets and shoes usually. No weed one though. I don’t think the people in Utah would take very kindly to that one! :)

Kinda makes you hope his septic tank overflows and all he has is those blankies to wipe them up. Seems like that’s all they would be good for….

We’ve got an RV that comes out with blankets like that in the summer on the northend of town but people around here wouldn’t take too kindly if they had designs like those. Mostly you just see tigers, Indian artwork and animals and such.

Okay, after I made my self-righteous comment earlier today about Alabama and it’s wackos…Trisha, I SWEAR this RV drove down to the side of the road from Highway 10 in Anoka, MN. Seriously, every time I drive by there the SAME RV is there…with all the same fabulous gems for sale. That’s creepy. Maybe there’s like a “band” of them or something. A secret “band of brothers” who sell worthless crap on the side of the road. Ohhhh, I think I might be on to something. Anyone else seen an RV around like this one? C’mon ladies, let’s hear it!
