Operation Bloggy Bakers

I received an email about this project and felt it was important enough to pass on. I think there has been less and less troop support as the years have gone by, mainly because people are mad at the President or whatever economy issues that are going on, however, the men and women are STILL there. Missing their families. Without their kids.

I lived nearly 5 months without my DH while he was overseas and it just sucks butt. I know how much he always looked forward to packages from home. I really think its our responsibility as decent human beings to send little reminders and little pick me ups when we can.

This is a GREAT project for you and your kids to do. All the info on how to particpate is HERE. They would also be appreciative if you would pass this on to your readers if you feel it would interest them! Lets use our blogs to do something good and spread some generosity and hope and kindness to our fellow americans!

I love this! I already send coupons to overseas troops (I wrote about it on my blog here: http://savvysuzie.blogspot.com/2008/07/independence-day-reflections-coupons.html ) but this is yet another great way to let folks know they aren’t forgotten!

Thanks, Trisha, for letting everyone know about this great cause. I’m baking some cookies on Saturday.
