Our last word on it..and its a long one.
So you may want to grab some popcorn.
If you feel the need to trash my child, my husband, or me personally, you are not welcome into our discussion.
We would appreciate you watching so you can stop listening to false renditions of our own post.

Wow – I’m TOTALLY out of the loop (as usual). I’m proud of you for responding the way that you have. I personally don’t participate in memes, anything that is set up by someone else, etc. I tend to dance to my own “special” music (don’t ask, you really don’t want to know). That being said – I would NEVER suggest that anyone else NOT participate. Each of us has our own blog agenda, and it is up to us to decide what is right for it and what is wrong. No one has the right to judge what another person does with his/her blog.
Hmmm…..I wonder if they’d have had the same reaction with the word “vacation” vs. “blackout,” even though the concept would have been exactly the same?
It’s ridiculous that even had to make this vlog. I stay hidden away at my little blog the best I can to avoid the drama out there in the blogosphere, but it is freaking everywhere. If women bloggers aren’t bad talking this person and/or community, it is the next. It’s why I LOVE the MomDot forum. It’s become the ONLY community I regularly visit, and it’s drama free. Had any of the gossipers listened to the FNL, they would have heard how it all came to flourishion.
Ya know, I am not doing the PR Blackout myself. I support you guys doing it completely, though. I mean, if these women didn’t like the idea, then don’t freaking do it. End of story. Why in the world would they create all of the drama over something they didn’t want to do. No one made them. No one twisted their arms. It’s ludicrous. The next time I see a blog and/or community run an event or meme that I don’t have the desire to participate in, should I throw a shit fit all over the freakin’ web about it? Give me a break. The answer is no. No, I won’t throw a shit fit. I will just NOT FREAKIN’ PARTICIPATE. So annoying.
I have been trying to stay out of it and not get involved, because that is how I am with drama, but this is just too annoying. It’s making my blood boil, and I am not even one of the participants in the PR Blackout.
I am so sorry that this has turned into such a ridiculous “firestorm” as you put it. Thanks for having our backs,as usual!!
very well said and done as always
love ya!
Obviously, people need something to talk about since summer is dragging on and on… I tend to think it’s everyone’s own personal choice– isn’t that what blogging is about in the first place? When I feel overwhelmed by blogging, it’s my responsibility to reach out to the PR reps I deal with and let them know I need to mellow out for a while. Kind of a no-brainer and certainly not a personal affront or a pox upon the houses of industry or whatever. Geez.
It’s crazy – like the children’s game of ‘Telephone’ almost – with a very snarky edge to it! Great video and you guys are doing a GREAT job over here!! I’m gonna have to figure out where/when this Fri. night thing is – sounds fun!
Great Vlog, Trisha! I was at the FNL when this whole discussion began and what it has turned into is completely absurd. I think you did a great job clearing up the misconceptions.
I’m soo loving the vlog. What a great way to make a point clear. I’m in agreement. I think a lot of the problems really come down to jealousy..
Oh, and I love your vlog’s, everytime I see one…I smile!
I loved this. I love seeing you defend yourself “in person” because obviously words written can be so misconstrued. I think you had great intent and the backlash has been ridiculous. In real life I’ve stuck my neck out unintentionally by innocent, well-meaning suggestions or support or something and been crucified by my peers. It was juvenile. And the result has been me becoming more reserved, cautious, second guessing myself. It’s wrong and I hate it. Anyways – I like that you said your peace.
Another fantastic vlog with the truth. Love the link/PR9. Can only hope that the “media” actually listens to the FNL and watches the vlog before the print another word.
LOL @ “I don’t mind the links; just try to be a page rank 9″
Very cute.
I have been a “mommy blogger” for years but only recently realized that there was such a network of other mommy bloggers. **SHOCK** Who’da thunk it? LOL It was definitely a pleasant surprise, but I’m learning that not even in parenthood do some people actually mature. Eh, *shrug* such is life.
I blogged about the situation *from my understanding, which of course is limited* here: http://senilemomentia.com/?p=2590 if you wanna check it out. In any event… love the way you’re handling the “attention” – definitely shows your character.

great job Trisha!!
Great Vlog!
Trisha,
You crack me up! Great vlog. Some people are just ridiculous and need to create drama of their own.
