It has been brought to my attention that a participant is sending out letters and asking for votes in the Peoples Choice Award-which is perfectly fine! But in this email they are also stating they would sell the product and split the proceeds for a vote.

Come on people, have some integrity.

While I made the rule that “any” method was OK, (as in tweeting, begging, etc)  after some investigation online, MomDot believes what this person is doing is federally illegal and borderlines lottery rules. It’s also a bit against common sense. I mean, how would you split anything with anyone…what, everyone gets 10cents? LOL

Bloggers and Tiaras is supposed to be a fun contest and the extra prize was intended to reward participants and give them some friendly competition to rally their own online communities behind them. Since I don’t want to give the impression that I am condoning that behavior, I am going to have to pull the voting contest.

Before anyone complains, please know that I can do anything I want if I feel like something is illegal or cheating.  However, at this time I am going to give the person that sent the email the benefit of the doubt that they didn’t know they were doing something illegal and not disqualify them from random pull.

I will just consider it a bad judgment call on their part and hopefully a lesson learned for everyone.

I appreciate all the time everyone has put into soliciting votes, but the bracelet will be pulled out of a little bowl with everyone’s names inside. I hope this is a fair solution.

Hey..at least you cant call me Meghan.
