I am one of the people that recieved the email asking for votes that has stirred up so much controversy. None of you know me and I realize my words may not mean a lot to you, but I still ned to comment. First, I appeciate that the majority of comments reflect an attitude of fairness and I appreciate that very much. I have been a neighbor of the Mom in question for 8 years and friend for almost that long. Her girls and mine play togther and I’m always happy to have them over. I can imagine the horror this mother felt when she heard that her email had offended some. I took it as a joke from the beginning and after all this came up I reread it and I still take it as a joke. But then I know the family. Would I take it differently if she was a stranger? I don’t know. But if any of you can’t look back on things you’ve said or done in innocence and now cringe at the thought of what you did or said, then you’re still very young. Or perfect…

I haven’t missed Mission 4 have I? I know you said it was coming out Friday but I don’t see it posted. I’m enjoying the tasks so far, and accidentally missed mission 2 so I need all the help I can get.

Wow I never imagined this kind of thing could happen. If Marsha is correct that she was joking, which I could totally see something being taken the wrong way in an e-mail, shoot I could totally see me saying something jokingly like that and not realizing it being taken wrong. Anyways I think it’s being handled fairly. I also think all the of the contestants I’ve seen so far seem like fair and reasonable people that are just out to have some fun.

But in this email they are also stating they would sell the product and split the proceeds for a vote.

I received the aforementioned email and have to say that I knew RIGHT AWAY that she was totally kidding! I’ve read her msg several times and still cannot see how anyone took it to be otherwise.

I’m sorry that someone took her tone or words completely out of the context and did not see the spirit in which it was written.

Anyway, I just felt compelled to set the record straight on this. There is no need for whomever the winner is or for any of the participants in this contest to have negative feelings or anger or outrage of any sort.

It’s too bad that the person who was offended in the first place didn’t go to her privately for clarification.
