Tell me I’m not alone

socksMaybe its because I have lived with my husband for like 13 years. Everything he says or does is something I have seen 1000 times before and the jokes..no matter how hard he tries….are the same as the day before. What can you say that hasn’t been said since we were 15, you know? I’m convinced we are married because its like telekinesis around here. We don’t even have to talk.

I am just waiting for him to get some new material.

So last night I go to pull out a sock and I see little girl socks mixed in with mine. Charlotte’s sitting on my bed and I was teasing her “are these your socks in my drawer! Whose socks are these?” She was giggling, I was giggling.

Dh walks up behind me and puts his arm arms around my waist and says:

“Ill put my sock in your drawer.”

Total WTF moment.

Oh honey. You will never live that line down. In fact, I am thinking that will be your epitaph.

Or maybe I’ll put “Here lies Chris, the coffin in your grave.”

  3. Liz says:

Now was that MY husband or YOUR husband that said that? Sure sounds like mine :)

  4. kerriditial says:

mine does it like 50 times a day, he can turn EVERYTHING I say into something dirty…I tell him “… if only you could use your powers for the greater good.” I mean seriously, if he was as quick thinking about everything else, he could be so successful. lol

  5. Lou Lange says:

My wife of almost 26 years and I have had moments like that…not just the WTH type but one starts a thought and the other finishes it…

  6. Alicia says:

Definitely a WTH moment! Too funny! Mine does the same thing!

  7. Amanda says:

That’s funny! My husband does the same thing with whatever I might be talking about when he feels the need. I had to tell him that’s more of a turn off and sometimes just plain annoying.

  8. HenriettaN says:

Well you’re definitely NOT alone! known my hubby for over 15 years too and it gets OLD! lol He needs to come up with a new pick-up line! Still I got a good giggle out of your WTF moment!

  9. Yasmine says:

lmao!! I would have been thinking WTF too. Men sure have the ability to turn anything Dirrrty

  10. Alicia says:

Bahahahaha… it must be something that comes along with the Y chromosome… that’s pretty funny.

  13. Cat says:

He is such a goof but in a good way.

  14. Elizabeth says:

Oh, you are so not alone. I’ve known my husband for 13 years and everything is still a dirty joke to him. :D

  15. Tasha says:

I can completely relate to this! Most often, I interrupt my husband and say, “I know what you are about to say…” And then we crack up because I can usually quote word for word what line he was about to use. Sock in the drawer. Classic horny husband response!

  16. Sharon says:

Gotta give him credit for trying. I am so laughing though I would have so been WTF too.

  17. Brittany says:

    LOL That’s awesome!

  18. claire says:

My DH has actually said the exact same lines..(sub laundry, or dishes, or whatever the task is)
We’ve only KNOWN eachother for a little over 5 years.. This leaves me little hope for the future of his humor ( or lack of)
He repeats jokes until I laugh.. then says “I would have only had to say it once if you laughed the first time..”
    Honey..I didnt laugh b.c it wasnt funny….

  19. nicole says:

Sounds like something my husband would say! :)

  20. Alicia says:

    Hahahhaha that’s priceless
