I cannot believe its like 10 days till school lets out. I think every day Chris and I have a discussion on what we are going to do with Charlotte over the summer. If I let her stay home every day, Ill become the neighborhood babysitter and my head will fly off into another dimension with the noise and mess that will take over my home.
The past two summers she has been in gymnastics camp…well, maybe three summers come to think about it, and that is certainly an option but it presents issues of its own. If I let her do half days, we will ruin P’s nap dropping her off or picking her up and when you have a baby his age, you live for his nap time. If I let her do full days, I might as well hire a personal playmate that has a car to watch her its that expensive.
I dont know, I have to figure it out. 10 (week) DAYS!!
I do know that whatever we do this summer, it will include a lot of water play, outdoor time, picnics, and treats like Yosicle by Popsicle.
Not that I need summer to have a treat.
In fact, directly after taking a picture of all the Yosicle options currently in my freezer, I ate one.
For Breakfast.
Cause it would have been irresponsible to throw it away.

With a 2 1/2 year old & a 9 month old, summer isn’t MUCH different than the school year for us, BUT, I am looking forward to lots of outdoor playdates, cookouts, trips to Busch Gardens Williamsburg, teaching my toddler to swim, showing my baby a swimming pool for the first time and getting a tan!
We’ll end our summer with a big 1st birthday blow-out for my little guy.

My sister ran the Color Me Rad in Virginia Beach 2 weeks ago! It was so much fun! Make sure you bring something to cover your car seats so they don’t get stained on the ride home! (unfortunately the color did stain our clothes….even though they say it isn’t supposed to) Its like a giant party and every body comes out a huge mess!
Oh, this is easy. Turning off the alarm clock and SLEEPING in. My youngest is 11 years old, so he’s old enough to occupy himself while mommy gets some extra zzzz’s.
And I look forward to going down to the local creek, swimming and fishing.
