PR pitches gone Wrong
I get PR pitches a lot, just like most of you do, and so many times they are form letters. I know people online are short with time, but please at least fill my blog name or personal name in before you send the letter, right? Well, I got this one, and I had to share. It takes the cake on weirdest PR pitch for momdot. Being a mom does not qualify me for sperm enhancement. I agree, there is probably a place for it, but exactly how to I approach my DH with this one……hey, honey, do I have a REVIEW for YOU today. Although, if it involves sex, he may jump on board. No pun intended.
For decades, the stress and frustration of couples who have difficulty conceiving has always fallen on the woman. Everything from having “bad eggs” to hearing their “biological clocking ticking” causes women to doubt their ability to be a fertile myrtle. You can imagine the shock and surprise that a couple goes through when they find out – as almost one-third of all couples do – that it is not the woman’s “bad eggs” that are the problem…but rather the man’s slow sperm are to blame!
Sperm motility is defined as the ability of sperm to swim in a sustained, forward-moving manner. Healthy, motile sperm show an increased capacity to fertilize an egg and initiate a pregnancy, while non-motile or abnormally-motile sperm will not, under most circumstances, be able to cause fertilization. Fairhaven Health, a leading supplier of natural fertility products, has teamed up with fertility expert and OB-GYN Dr. Amos Grunebaum to develop FertilAid for Men, a nutritional supplement proven to improve healthy sperm count.
A new study of FertilAid for Men shows the supplement supports significant increases in the total number of normal, swimming sperm. Conducted by the award winning Sperm Physiologist, Dr. J.E Ellington, the double-blind FertilAid for Men study was done through 2006 to determine the impact of FertilAid on sperm function for men with “abnormal sperm parameters”, as defined by the World Health Organization. According to Dr. Ellington, “Most of the men that had increased sperm counts while taking FertilAid for Men, showed improvements of 20% or more in the number of healthy sperm.”
According to Dr. Grunebaum, “for many men, taking a nutritional supplement can help treat their infertility. It also reduces the stress on their female partners who are concerned about their own fertility and the need to undergo invasive treatments.” A recent study has linked invasive fertility treatments such as in vitro fertilization (IVF) to birth defects – with babies conceived through fertility treatments being between two to four times more likely to be born with a birth defect. For this reason, many couples are doing all they can to avoid invasive techniques and are giving more thought to natural remedies.

I took out the personal info. You think my DH hired this person to try to push me into getting pregnant? *snort*

LMAO!!!
HAHA I got that one too! So unless Chris is talking to my hubby too about trying to convince us both, I don’t think it had anything to do with him.
LOL!!
hahhaahaaaa….that is unreal! Who in the heck responds to this?
That is hilarious! Never a dull moment that is for sure.
I feel bad for the poor scientist who has to count sperm for a living! I know random and unrelated but that’s the kind of day I’m having.
