Piera wrote a post about a mom who contacted her through her blog. Her name is Victoria and her 16 month old daughter has a terminal disease called Spinal Muscular Atrophy, or SMA. It is the #1 genetic killer of infants and the medical community is very close to a cure, but they need a bill passed that’s in Congress right now. Victoria and her husband started an online petition and they need 100,000 signatures so that they can be taken to Congress in the Spring. It will help the SMA community show that people DO care about this bill.
