Protect yourself online, how to arm yourself with knowledge.

Over the past few months I have been able to share a lot of information about Hotspot Shield with all of you as an ambassador for the company. As a blogger, a good percentage of my life is spent online and I find that sharing Hotspot Shield is one of the  most important things I can do on a monthly basis.

If you  missed any of the past articles, you can catch up here:

And while my focus has been primarily reminding you to sign up for Hotspot Shield and their free service here (that helps protect your online life and lets face it, everyone has an online life) I wanted to take some time out to talk about other ways you can connect with Hotspot Shield.

1)  First, they have a Facebook page. Everyone is online at Facebook and Hotspot Shield is consistently providing great material and resources to help you out.  Last week, for example, they shared this really cool website that can help you post online with the ability to DELETE it all later. Check it out via this embed:

or this way they shared ways to be anonymous online…because not everyone wants to be a blogger like I am!

2) You can also connect with Hotspot Shield via their new Anchorfree Partnering with Opera, in which Hotspot Shield comes bundled! You can click the image below to take you to iTunes to get the Coast by Opera webbrowser for your ipad.
Opera is now promoting Hotspot Shield on the updated version of their browser app to provide added security and privacy, especially when browsing in unsecured WiFi hotspots.
3) Are you on twitter? Connect here and follow Hotspot Shield to get up to date online security information and interesting new stories that affect when and how you surf.
4)  And lastly, I encourage you to join over 150 million downloads and what everyone else knows by clicking here and start protecting YOURSELF this year. Do not be another victim or statistic.
Start the new year off right by adding Hotspot Shield to your surfing experience.

Hi, y'all! If you got this far, awesome . I am assuming you want to know more about me. I am a *cough* 36 year old mom of 2 great kids, 6 rescue animals and proud wife of my high school sweetheart. This blog is my outlet and allows me to pretend I am a kid at heart. I get to play with glitter and glue, eat lots of sweets (its for the blog, I swear!) and connect with readers and friends. As a blogger I love to share with you- so the rundown is that I am currently reading this, using these for calmer bedtimes, giving away this, and suggesting here if you ever wanted to be a blogger yourself.

  1. Lots of great information. This is one area that I need to learn more about and focus on because I too use the computer a lot and I want to make sure that I am as protected as I can be.

  2. I love companies that don’t just tell you to buy their product but actually work to help you see WHY. They are really great at sharing good info on social media!

  3. Thanks for sharing them. I am now following them on Facebook so I can stay updated.

  4. Thanks, Trisha. Your posts have been SO informative! I’m now following them on Facebook and Twitter.

  5. Wow, Hot Spot really has all avenues of connecting available, that’s great! I need to seriously considering signing up for 2014!

  6. Thank you so much for sharing this – I really need to protect myself better in 2014!

  7. Thank you Trisha! I am glad they are so active online and helping so many people. I can’t imagine the horror of identity theft. I’m glad Hotspot Shield is there to help!

  8. Following them on Twitter now. Thanks!

  9. I am definitely looking into this after dinner tonight. Being a blogger and social media manager/marketer means I need a great deal of online security. Thank you for sharing Hotspot Shield!
