Question Time

Since I am always the one talking, I thought I would ask a question of you.

Why did you choose the blog name you have?

  1. Shiroi Tora says:

It describes my son. In the Autistic spectrum and profoundly gifted (2E – twice exceptional). The blog describes the ABA therapy and how it, not only greatly benefited him, but, how it can greatly benefit all children and their parents.

  2. Nicole says:

I’m the only girl in a house full of boys. It smells all the time, balls (LMAO) everywhere, dirty clothes everywhere and lots of towel snapping…just like a locker room.

  3. I picked my blog name, barbarasbeat, because when I was a reporter I had an area to cover known as, my beat or my area. I also had a column named, Barbara’s Beat, to talk about things that happened that are important that I didn’t get a chance to report.

As a blogger I try to do the same thing.

  4. Julia says:

Well I have been nugglemama since my oldest DD came up to me the first time at 1.5 or 2 and asked me to nuggle her. Handful because I have 5 and it seemed to fit :)

  5. I chose my twitter name first @MusingsfromMe. I never thought about blog name matching twitter name. My blog was the very long: http://www.writingmylifeoneblogatatime.blogspot.com. I assumed I would not get any followers on twitter and thus would be “Musing” all to myself. I was shocked the first time someone followed me!

  6. Matt says:

Meandering Matt came about when I was having a blog makeover done. The name originates from my many ramblings on my blog. I talk about everything from computers and technology to cooking to family to adult products. My thoughts meander all over the place and you never know what my next post may be about.

  7. Deborah says:

Because my grandkids call me Baba and I live on a Farm.

  8. Suzanne says:

The first name I had for the blog was “So, you don’t get any phone calls from me” because people complained that I didn’t call enough. Then I changed it to Suzanne Calling, because blog posts are like phone calls from cyberspace.

  9. My four year old (now five) named it for me. I was trying to think of something and they were calling me Miss Mommy. They call all of the teachers in school Miss Something. She came up with the name and since I also love me some Bette Midler, I thought that it would work. :)

Remember way, way, way back to the days of AOL and everyone could see your online status? It seemed that as soon as I hit the connect button, a certain friend was IM’ing me. I started asking her Why are you Stalking Me? Then, years later, when an attorney in our office found my blog, it freaked me out a little and I remembered that phrase so I went underground, changed the name to Why are you Stalking Me and that’s what I’ve been ever since.

  11. I get judged a lot on appearance about what sort of person and parent I am. People are always shocked when they realize all that I do and who I really am… that is where Not So Average Mama comes in.

  12. Eleanor says:

The name of my blog – Saving Our Way – is just what we do! We are ‘Saving Our Way’ through our life as parents of a toddler & living on one income. Without the savings from coupons & sales that I hit up – we’d never be able to make it on one income! :-)

  13. I Could Be Fake was inspired by the song “Just Like You” by Three Days Grace. Plus… I’ve made this decision in my life to try to stop pleasing people and just be myself… quit being something I’m not, quit being fake.

  14. Krystyn says:

    Really, Are You Serious?

I picked it like a million years ago because that was my response to a million things. I guess it sort of stuck. But, I try not to use it too much in my posts. But, lots of other people like to!

  15. Dawn says:

My blog http://peelinganorangewithascrewdriver.blogspot.com came about one afternoon at the house. My 2 year old daughter was digging through the junk drawer for a screwdriver.
“What do you need that for?” I ask.
“To open my orange,” she stated, matter of factly.

It occured to me that it was a perfect analogy for my life and parenting skills…

It might get the job done, but it was going to leave a helluva mess!
