Since I am always the one talking, I thought I would ask a question of you.
Why did you choose the blog name you have?

If you haven’t noticed, every week I am bringing you a brand new recipe that includes pork; a hearty and healthy alternative to other meats on your dinner plate during the week.In my house Charlotte can spot a “not chicken” meal like 100 miles away, so the key to getting her to eat other meat, [...]
This post brought to you by Walgreens. All opinions are 100% mine. If your family is like mine it’s large and sick. Okay seriously, my family really is large by today’s standards (with 4 kids I can get away with anything), and they often only share one thing… germs. That’s why I enjoy sharing things [...]

I personally have yet to gather up enough courage to ever get a tattoo. When I was about 19, I nearly got a frog tattooed on my shoulder. I am sure … [Read More...]

Ohana Mama – I was sitting on the couch, husband was on the floor, we were watching tv and I was trying to think of a name. I blurted out Ohana Mama – it sorta rhymed…hubby said, yeah! And that was it
Ohana shows my location (Hawaii) and I am a Mama and it’s catchy together!
I chose my blog name for a variety of reasons.
1) I love to sing, and especially to harmonize (I am an alto).
2) I have four kids. Life would run so smoothly if I had an uncluttered home and a schedule. However, I have either developed adult ADD or the chronic sleep deprivation has affected me so much that I have a totally fly by the seat of my pants, unplanned, disorganized, haphazard lifestyle, car, house, etc. I am in pursuit of systems for homeschooling, my chores, my kids chores, etc and building lasting habits for all of us.
3) My oldest daughter has Aspergers. She is often out of control in her emotional reactions, and she and her next younger sister fight terribly. So I am also looking for sibling harmony. My blog is primarily about my oldest daughter and the conversations we have concerning issues related to her processing of life experiences.
Thanks for asking the question!
i chose no time mommy because i’m a mother of three under the age of 5. i really have no time for anything but kids. i blog with kids on my lap
When I started the blog, my friends from where I used to live would complain if I hadn’t called in a day or two. My emails to the masses had several people urging me to start a blog (back when only techies did it). After about a year of nagging, I started with the name “So, You Don’t Get Any Phone Calls From Me.” Any time someone complained that they didn’t hear from me, they got the link, lol.
When I decided I needed a shorter name, my husband suggested Suzanne Calling because he hated the idea of using Suzannadanna for the blog name. The tag line was almost “My phone calls to cyberspace”, but the fact that I tend to blog late at night prompted the rest.
Great question! I am loving the origins of everyone’s blog name.
I chose my blog name because I am always looking for the best deals around!
As The Days Go By
My blog was originally intended to update my and my husbands family that live far away. I thought it would be a great way to share picture and videos of our daughter. I still use it for that, although I’m starting to branch out into writing more personal stories and sharing funny little anecdotes.
I chose A Little Bit Nutty because I thought it summed up our lives. Actually we are probably A LOT nutty.
My name is Carolyn and I live in North Carolina thus Carolyn in Carolina. Okay not that original but it works.
My other blog was never meant to be but then I turned it into my review blog. The name: The Art of Random Willy-Nillyness has a whole story behind it. http://caroincarolina.blogspot.com/2009/01/art-of-random-willy-nillyness.html
I chose “What’s That Smell?” because first of all I seem to have an overactive sniffer and say that ALL THE TIME and second it seemed pretty appropriate and unique for a blog, especially a Mom Blog. My domain is a whole other story, and I’m actually changing it so I won’t even elaborate.
@SuziSaysDa is rapidly becoming my alias. Suzi is my first name and since every variation was taken — I went with my favorite color from OPI nailpolish!
Because after my family and church the Red Sox are the next most important thing in my life. Might sound pathetic, but my husband and I bonded over baseball, our second date was watching game 7 of the 2001 World Series (on t.v.)…Yankees lost…yay! So it just seemed natural to become Red Sox Mommy…it embodied being a mom and a fan.
Good Golly Miss Blondie- I wanted something with a play on words. Something catchy that you could remember. I was looking through my songs folder on my computer and saw Good golly miss molly and changed it to Blondie!! Walah!
I did a whole post on why I chose Is It Naptime Yet? so I copied a bit of it to paste here…
For the last 13 + years that is a question I’ve asked almost every day lol.
When my oldest 3 were babies/toddlers I couldn’t wait for the them to take a nap so I could have a few minutes of quiet time to read or shower or watch TV that didn’t consist of Bananas in Pajamas or Sesame Street. Then when they were preschoolers I couldn’t wait for the them to take a nap so there was a few minutes of them not arguing with each other. Then came Lucas and the older kids no longer took naps, but I couldn’t wait for his naptime to sew and relax. Now, come August, he’ll be in school too, and do you know what I’m most looking forward to at Logan’s naptime? Taking a nap myself!!!
Basically, naptime has always been my “me time” to do what I want, without feeling guilty about not doing what the kids want, so it just seemed like the perfect name for my blog.
I actually did a post about this a while back on my blog.
I chose Misadventures in Baby Raising because one of my all time favorite 80′s movies is Adventures in Baby Sitting. Since most of my experiences in being a mommy are most mis-adventurous I thought that sounded like a good (and very fitting) name and of course since I’m long past baby sitting and have moved on to raising the babies it just seemed like a natural choice!
Courtney’s Sweets
I love to bake and my husband has always called me sweet so instead of a name like Courtney’s cakes or a random baking blog I chose Courtney’s Sweets
mommy23monkeys = Mommy to three monkeys!
This has always been my forum screen name at various websites, so when I went with my own URL, I went with it. Had I known I would get into reviewing and really publishing stuff other than kid pictures, I would have thought of something else…although I don’t know what else i would have picked.
AutismLearningFelt was named after my son and my business. My business is called LearningFelt and my son is autistic. My blog has developed and now has a different meaning for me. I now think of it as connecting emotionally with the autism community and learning and sharing informationand experiences.
I chose my name because it definitely fits me. I’m a tattoo artist mom with a rocker husband. I am the one that stands out when there is some sort of parent meeting. I do things my own way and I like it like that. I am covered in tattoos, used to have piercings (only my nose these days), Crazy color hair, etc.
Family Trees May Contain Nuts….hmmm I am a genealogy researcher you do the math. Or the nut count.
I tried to think of something catchy that would roll off the tongue and stick in the mind. LOL. MamaCheaps!!
