[private]Since I am always the one talking, I thought I would ask a question of you.
Why did you choose the blog name you have?
~Trisha
this is filler text to hold the front page for the minimization box. Just ignore this. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. [/private]

well…I chose my blog name cause it describes what I had an idea to do…have notes about raising a blasian baby =)
My blog is called I am the Glue.
It’s not hard to figure it out. I work full time, have 7 kids, a husband, a dog and a house. A co worker summed me up as the glue. I wrote a blog about it-
http://iamtheglue.blogspot.com/2009/08/why-i-am-glue.html
Shmop’s (Stay Home Mom of Preschoolers) Mom Tips – I was going to try to assemble a book and may still some happy day. Or at least get published somewhere!
It’s actually a nickname from a co-worker or a phrase, “Angry Julie Monday”. I work Friday through Monday. Friday is actually my Monday and Monday is my Friday. So I’m Angry on both of those days.
Punky Monkey’s is what I call the boys
I chose Suzy Q Homemaker because when I started my blog, I was finally done with my degree and “officially” a stay-at-home mom. Mostly, the blog name is ironic because I am SO not a good housekeeper, I suck at baking cakes, and I am a horrible decorator.
A Kindred Spirit’s Thoughts… it just fit.
Originally inspired by Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery of course – Anne was hoping for a kindred spirit. When I became a mom and started writing for moms and reviewing mom products, I added “All mommies are kindred spirits!” so it works.
When I started my blog I was singing “Camptown Ladies” to my baby girl all the time to get her to stop crying or sleep or whatever. Doodah, doodah. And in the wee hours of the morning I realized I could sing doodah all day long and still be a diva!
Soooo…..Doodah Diva.
that ones easy, I’m a blonde and I have ambition.
I decided on the name for my blog because it was the name I used for my newspaper column to speak about things in my “area”.
I didn’t know what I was going to write about in my blog when I started, but I knew I would be writing about things that I found interesting in my area – whatever I determined that to be.
Before I had my first I read an article in a parenting magazine that ’silly’ was a bad word that kids should not use or be called. It was a battle call. My girls and I am silly and proud of it!!
Our blog “Petit” is named after our business “Petit”. Our blog is one way to ensure our customers and readers get all the updated information regarding our business as well as introducing them to new products for children and new businesses for children.
because the other 12 names I came up with, and thought were so fabulously unique and creative, were already taken.
I have actually been meaning to add this to my “About Me” section and write up a post about it. When I get that done, I’ll let you know ’cause right now, I’m too lazy!
I love to write. Writing is my passion.
Years ago I had the idea of creating a web site for women writers who could post their articles and stories (with bio boxes of course) and make them available to web sites, newsletters and other sources (providing the bio lines and link were kept in tact).
I was trying to come up with a name that represented “Writers”. A friend’s father suggested “Scribe” since a scribe is someone who writes.
I wanted something to represent women so I came up with the She part and thus the name She Scribes was born.
The web site idea didn’t pan out but I owned the name She Scribes so I thought it would make a great blog name for myself and thus She Scribes, the blog, was born.
I choose A Mom Is A Job because I wanted a name that was easy to remember and would help reflect how I feel about being a Mom.
When someone asks me what I do for a living or if I work, I always answer yes. When they ask me what I do I tell them I’m a Mom. I may not bring home a paycheck every week for my kind of work but I can assure you that being a Mom is in fact, a job. It’s a full time 24/7, 365 day a year job and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. If you aren’t a Mom you probably don’t appreciate it.
I also designed my logo to reflect many of the things Moms have to juggle in our lives as well.
Baby Loving Mama
Actually I just picked the first that that popped into my head and did a check to make sure nobody else had it.
I originally meant it as, I’m a mama who loves her baby or babies in general. But it could also be taken the other way that baby loves mama and I’ve frequently had people think I meant it that way. I like that it goes both ways with both baby and mama loving each other, hence the “Loving” in different font on my header.
Now the only issue I see with this name is that my youngest is currently 18 months and is not exactly a baby anymore. But my kids will always be my babies to me so it works even if I don’t have another one.
I have no regrets whatsoever even though I came up with it in a matter of seconds.
I named mine A Little of This and a Little of That. When I started my blog it was about a lot of different things and I was so new to the blogging world I had no idea I would be reviewing products and hosting giveaways .I maybe would have put a little more thought into a name. I have thought about changing it but wasn’t sure since I have developed relationships with companies with this name. Anybody have any experience with this?

All things made by Kelly. I named my site that because, well for one I am very bad at coming up with catchy names and also I love to make things and I started my blog as a place for me to store my ideas and share with others what I make. I also wanted to use my blog as a place to share about my kids, which I also made, and my life. So it is about things made by me, Kelly.
I named my blog The Diary of a POSHpreneur because I wanted it to be a diary–literally-daily thoughts and struggles of what I go through as a business owner and writer.
I chose The Power of Housewife Word of Mouth because I knew I would be a housewife waaaay longer than I would be an at home mom. I also used to work for BzzAgent so I was addicted to word of mouth marketing ideas. I really like it and I love my url is so easy to tell people housewife-wom dot com. It rhymes! I know I am a dork
I chose my blog name, Matt’s Review and Giveaway Blog, thinking my main purpose was going to be to review products and list giveaways. I’m actually thinking it’s time for a name change because I’m including more personal stuff than I expected in the beginning. I need to come up with something creative and unique, but I am not good with creativity. Any ideas? Email me!! mattschmunk at hotmail dot com
My blog is Happily Blended and it took me a while to finally keep this name. I originally was Writings of a WAHM and that name was just BLAH. As I thought more and more I realized I have a blended family, I am a the Blended Families editor at Type-A-Mom and I enjoy turning negative situations into positive situations (call me crazy). Although the word Happily was too plain at first I couldn’t seem to find a similar word that would sound right with Blended and thus became Happily Blended where I am all about mixing things up.
Basically I took my blended family situation, my optimistic outlook on life and combined it into a blog name … Happily Blended
I chose Ordinary and Awesome after one night and an epiphany. I was in a situation once where I was surrounded by fake, lonely, and materialistic people. These people looked me over once and treated me as if I was lucky to be in their presence. I didn’t have $1000 purse on my arm, I didn’t have fake nails, I didn’t have a fake tan, I didn’t have highlights in my hair, I wasn’t thin, and I stood out like a sore thumb. I was genuinly more happy and fullfilled than any of them, though. That drove them nuts! How could someone lesser than them, in material stuff and vanity, be SO happy they wondered? LOL! You know those people. When they realize you aren’t like them they ask dumn questions like, “What kind of car do you drive,” like that matters at all. Or they say, “I need to go get my hair done SO bad, where do you go,” when they obviously can tell I don’t go to a salon regularly. LOL! It’s the shallow quiz; asking dumb questions to make sure that everyone knows the person being quized is ‘different’. Haha. What they didn’t know, because it doesn’t matter, is that I choose to live simple. I have no desire to be fake in any way. I love being natural and not wasting $1000 on a purse. Haha. I have no need for vanity or materialist crap. The whole time these people, women more specifically, bitched about their lives, their husbands who never come home on time, the lack of date nights, their kids they wanted to kill, the dog they kicked out, etc. etc. etc., I was just smiling. All I could do was smile. I just can’t relate to their crappy life. My man chooses to spend every moment he isn’t at work with me, he is never MIA. I don’t have kids to hate. My pets ROCK! Pretty much every point they bitched about, I had nothing to join in a bitch about with them. So, in a situation that might make most people feel totally and utterly like a loser, I felt AWESOME! I couldn’t wait to go home to my simple and ordinary life. All I wanted to do was kiss my man, who is THE MOST AMAZING MAN ON EARTH, and play with our pet children while watching some TV. Haha. I want for nothing, I need for little, and I am truly blessed. I literally went home that night and created Ordinary and Awesome on Blogger, even though I had an already established blog on Blogger under a different title.
LOL! WOW . . . sorry for the novel.
)
I got Sweet ‘n’ Sassy Girls basically because I am usually a sweet gal, but I can be sassy, just ask my dad! I wanted something to show of the 2 sides of redheads, the nice calm side, and then that redheaded temper that everyone talks about. It takes a lot to get me mad, but when I am, watch out! I also had a redheaded daughter, hence the “girls” section. I originally wanted Sweet and Sassy Girls, but it was taken, so I just changed the “and” to “n”
I probably could have thought it out better, but I had no idea what I was doing when I created it!
Oh, gosh. 7 years ago, I had a cat named Spooky and a cat named Noodles. I needed a screen name for some game or something, so I smooshed their names together. I’ve used that name ever since, so I named the blog that, too. Oodles of Spoo!
Confessions From HouseholdSix came about because my husband calls me HouseholdSix. It’s like the household commander in Army speak. All the other names I could think of were taken with that in them. Then I had a couple readers send me e-mails after my Army rants saying they didn’t know certain aspects I had blogged about, and thank you for telling them how it really is. So really, I guess I kinda pulled it out of my ass.
Moomette is my little granddaughter’s nickname. We call her ‘Moo’ for short! When I opened my eBay store (now closed) I named it Moomette’s Magnificents. Once I started blogging, I continued with the name for branding purposes.
Actually, my granddaughter, ‘Lil Moomette is truly Magnificent to us!
And I am …. Moomettesgram!
Gah! That’s one thing I look back on and wish I would have done differently. When I first started our blog it was just for my daughter and I. I just typed the first thing that popped into my head into blogger (hair4myprincess) and it was done. If I had to do it over I would have thought more about it and named it something better. Oh well, what’s done is done.
