Thank you, Radio Flyer!

So, it’s not generally my style to make emails public, but due to the situation with Classic Red Wagons, I thought other Mom Bloggers should know what happened and hopefully learn from my experience.

But, every cloud has a silver lining, right?!?  Shortly after my post, I received a very kind email from Radio Flyer apologizing for my experience with Classic Red Wagons.  I thought it was so nice of them to acknowledge the incident, even though Radio Flyer themselves had nothing to apologize for.  They have generously offered me a review of their new Ultimate Comfort Wagon!

It is so nice to see that large companies DO value and want to harness the power of “the mom blog!”  So, be on the lookout for my review of the new Radio Flyer Ultimate Comfort Wagon on The Not-So-Blog!  I’ll be sure to give the MomDot community an update as well!

Thank you, Radio Flyer!

So the people who dismissed you as a non-influential soccer mom just got its hand slapped. Yea! I think more and more businesses are learning that the way they typically treat mothers and, especially, mom bloggers is bad for their business. Oh, well. If they want to shoot themselves…

But very classy and professional for Radio Flyer to step up to the plate, even though *they* didn’t do this! However, it was one of their sellers and the bad experience ultimately results in loss of their sales…so obviously Radio Flyer gets it!

love the Radio Flyer and I can’t wait to see your review. I am in market for a new wagon for the boys. Having two small fair skinned children means double trouble and having that canopy to cover them from the sun can only be a Great thing.

That’s so great they stepped up to the plate. I love Radio Flyer! We still have the Radio Flyer red wagon we got when my boys were little and they are now 29 and 27. Our grandsons now ride in and play with it :)

Pretty cool that your rant was seen by others at the company and they offered the wagon for review!

You’ll LOVE this wagon, we got the previous model and it’s hard to keep our 26 month old OUT of it at any given time-it’s a car, train, wagon, sled, buggy for her and her dollys, you name, it’s it!

We LOVE it for the zoo and outside festivals-best money we ever spent!

That’s awesome, Bridgette. I think these PR firms bank on being able to pull this kind of crap on us believing that we won’t say anything about it. They are so stupid sometimes thinking we will just lay down and take this kind of abuse because we are “Just a no name Mommy Blog”.

We may not all be Dooce or that Pioneer Chick, but we have an opinion and the means to get that out there through our blogs and the community. And I don’t believe that every PR firm has the full backing of the parent company. If more of those actual companies knew what the PR reps were doing/saying to us “Mommy Bloggers”, a lot of them might be out of a job.

Now The Diva wants that wagon (her Mama does too LOL).

    Good job!

I always thought Classic Red Wagons WAS Radio Flyer based on how their website is set up. Radio Flyer may want to rethink that affiliation.
