Unfortunately, the trip still proved to be too expensive to take as the time between the winners and the shoot was only a few weeks. We just didn’t have enough time to prepare for all the money. New York is MUCH more expensive then we imagined! The trip would have been around $1000 and we did raise $500, so for that, we are so blessed to be in this community.

Oh Trisha! I’m so sorry it didn’t work out. I didn’t have the money to help out, or I sure would have.
Hubs won a weekend trip to NYC when he attended the FBI National Academy last spring. He said it was a VERY expensive city! And all he had to buy were souvenirs!
But he knew the price of the hotel and dinners. The Academy set up bus transportation for all the guys that got to go.
That really sucks! It’s a city I’ve always wanted to see, too.

cat, it wasnt just a ticket, it was a hotel, transportation costs, etc. Its not the easiest city in the world to navigate.
