Review: Baby Girl Products (CLOSED)

22 Sep Posted by Alicia in Promotional | 43 comments

When I was searching for things that would be neat to have for our green month here at Momdot, my Mom told me about a couple of local girls (in the Tampa area) that had created these all natural, non chemical, earth friendly cleaning products called Baby Girl Products.  Being the semi crunchy Mom that I am, I went ahead and contacted them to see if they’d be interested in doing a giveaway for Momdot.  They were also kind enough to offer a glass cleaner and an all purpose cleaner at my house for myself to review!  What service for a busy Mom to drop these awesome products at my house.

Of course we were all too excited about having new cleaning products.  I’m one of those people who buys a cleaning product if its new or if its been talked about a ton.  I just have an affinity for them.  Anyway, I was so excited to be able to try out these products and of course Reagan, my 3 year old wanted to help me.  So I gave Reagan the glass/window cleaner and had her spray it on the glass.  I was so pleased with the way it cleaned.  My windows are so dirty, with little hands always touching them and my dog getting water on it.  When we cleaned it, it was so perfect and clear.  And I was so surprised that the ingredients of the glass cleaner, which are water, vinegar, cornstarch, organic lemon juice, citric acid, and organic lemon oil was able to get my windows so clean.  The best part is that it was safe enough for little hands!

Then of course I used the All Purpose Cleaneron my kitchen counters.  I used it right after I had cooked and of course the counters were slightly dirty.  I thought to myself that it was perfect timing for me to get the cleaning done, especially when I had a new product to try.  So as I sprayed the product, I have to say it smelled incredible.  I looked at the ingredients list (water, vinegar, organic coconut oil, organic olive oil, organic jojoba oil, peppermint essential oil blend, organic aloe vera, rosemary extract, and sodium carbonate) and I knew right away that it was the peppermint that made it smell so good.  Not only did it smell great it cleaned like a charm.  I didn’t have to wipe it multiple times I was able to clean it once without having to worry that it wasn’t going to pick up the dirt.  Even my husband loved the All Purpose Cleaner , which thrilled me because he would reach for the Baby Girl Cleaning Products before the other traditional products that we have.

The conclusion I came to while using my chemical products and my all natural, non toxic cleaners was that I need to use up all of my chemical products and buy the all natural products.  I did a lot of research and I don’t want a ton of chemicals around my girls, especially Kaylee (who is 15 months) because of her asthma, allergies, & immune deficiency.  I want a product that’s safe and does a good job cleaning.  I found that with the Baby Girl Products.  I have to give the girls over at Baby Girl products major kudos for taking the time to find a mixture that works well in cleaning and that’s safe for our homes.  And the best part of all…I can’t wait to buy more of their cleaning products for the rest of the house.

I saw a clip of Baby Girl products on our local tv news station that highlights “Green Ideas”. I was so intrigued that I visited the sight and am planning to order products this payday. I have 2 grandchildren and would love to share the products with their mother and make our homes clean and safer from chemicals.

I would love to win these products! We have tried to shop at our local Co-op here and get healthier prodcuts but it gets expensive..I love using healthier products because I know we are not breathing in products we shouldn’t and getting toxins into our bodies.

I would love to try these products for my husband’s benefit. He is EXTREMELY sensitive to chemicals, perfumes, etc. Based on what I’ve read, these products sound like they would be a great way to AVOID irritating his eyes.

  • Lauren S says:

I only use cleaners like baking soda or vinegar to clean. I don’t want anything in the house that I would freak out about if the kids swallowed them. These products look pretty safe, yet they look like they would be more fun to use than my current cleaners.

I would love to try their products because of this statement I found on their website. Toxic chemcials in household cleaners are 3 times more likely to cause cancer than outdoor air. There has been a 26% increase in cancer over the last two decades. Cancer is the number one cause of death in children. One in every 400 Americans can expect to get cancer before the age of 15. Scientists believe that 80-90% of caner is due to environmental causes.
