Thanks for the review. I will probably go out and buy this one. Maggie, you haven't purchased the new Littermaid box. I used to have the one that you had. The current model is designed from the one you have. It came out about 3 years ago. I was happy with the original Littermaid design, the new one doesn't hold up so I went back to regular scooping litterbox. I have been doing my research and This review is the one that is putting the nail in the coffin for me on litter maid.

I am ready for a new auto litterbox and Scoopfree is now the on for me.
Me cat doesn't always put his butt down so the Ultra version will work the best.

Maggie M-

I believe Milano is the name of the reviewers cat... so if this cat manufactured its own litter box and trays, then I want a kitten from Milano's next litter. I think you misread the post, all the same. ;)What i DO know is that the ScoopFree box works wonderfully (I sit with one in the very room I am in). I recently got signed up for their subscription service (wherein they automatically ship my trays to me) - I feel like I never have to worry about litter again! All that to say that I, along with Milano, am all for the ScoopFree!

(BTW, the subscription service offers free shipping and handling, as well as up to $20 off the first order... so why wouldnt you get involved?)

Wait a minute...I have had the "Litter Maid Mega" self-cleaning Litter Box for nine years now, and it is not from Milano. In fact, we bought it a Petco nine years ago when we adopted our cat. It has disposable covered trays, uses 5-10 times less litter (or clay)....every time our cat needs to use it, he does his business and about 3-4 minutes after he has stepped out of the litter tray, it automatically cleans out any waste, empties it into the plastic disposable trays then goes back into a "ready" position. I'm sorry I don't know who makes it and I didn't feel like getting my head that close to read who makes it, but, like I said, we purchased it years ago. And the cost of the covered disposable litter trays is about half the price of the Milano trays. Even WalMart now sells automated litter "maids". So Milano is not the only manufacturer of scoop-free litter boxes. Not that I don't appreciate your review because I do. I think more people would adopt kitties and cats if they knew they don't have to contend with stinky litter boxes, and, that there are products on the market today that address the litter box issue.
