This is me at Chick-Fil-A today….I heard a song come on. It was Celine Dion. A song that brought me back to my sophomore year of High School, my very first dance, alone-you know, without my parents actually dropping me off and waiting outside to pick me up. It was an ROTC dance (i know what your thinking). I went with (what was to be) my long term boyfriend from high school. We will call him Mr. PainInTheAss.
Mr. PainInTheAss was pretty hot as far as high school boys go. I look back and remember the hotness just fine. He turned out to be a pretty OK looking guy too. Minus that whole “buying another girl flowers on valentines day and leaving the receipt in your coat pocket and letting me borrow the coat” thing, he was great.
Ok, back to Chick-Fil-A. My daughter was playing on the play place (another topic entirely) and I was humming the song and it reminded me of sex because it was about that time, or a year later, that I became sexually active. Then I started thinking…dang, I was young. 16 years old. Wait..my daughter is 3.5….so in all actuality, it could be only 12.5 years from now before she is choosing to be in a sexual relationship. That’s only 4 times older then she is now. That’s only 4562 days from now.
I think I need to buy a shotgun. Thanks Celine.

Oh goodness! That is scary to think about. The teen years has been running through my mind like crazy since i’m about to have my second GIRL! Eek, I know how girls are..hehe!

My parents were pretty strict, I was close to 18 when I lost my “virginity”. But then again I always liked all the boys who would at that time have nothing to do with me.. some of these guys saw me at 20 and were like “wow” but it should be more about who you are than looks.. Its scary! We are having our first baby girl in September.. I told my hubby I will “interview” her boyfriends.. I went through enough jerk-offs… and a crappy ex hubby so I’m pretty sure I know what to help her look for in a guy!
