I would imagine this would help anyone. My husband and I keep a fan on in our room just for noise and now he uses a C-PAP machine and it works like a sound machine for me!

i've always wanted to try a sound machine. thank you for reviewing so completely. I never thought about the footprint, but you don't want it to take up your whole nightstand! I've stayed near the ocean, near a babbling brook, camping in the woods and really enjoy sounds like that when I sleep, okay, I'm headed over to soundmachinesdirect.com You convinced me, it's time! I actually used to run the vaccum quite a bit when the twisn were younger, i have a pretty clean floor LOL. This would be so much more pratical to have. maybe for my next baby.
