When our friend Sarah from Ohana Mama let us know about this product, we knew it was an important one for moms everywhere. You can imagine how thrilled we were when Slow Cooker Mate knocked on our virtual door and gave us an opportunity to bring it you all! It doesn’t matter what you do during the day, there is rarely enough time to do it all. At the end of the day, cooking is about the last thing on my mind and I am quick to turn to mac and cheese and hot dogs. But my family does love a cooked meal and so do I. I am a fan of my crock pot (and my rice cooker, I have to say) and after reading this story below of how this crock pot came to be, I just shook my head in amazement.
As a fellow mompreneur, I know how hard it is to get a product to market and to go THREE YEARS and work on something, is beyond dedication. I am going to print the story of the product below so you can learn about it yourself and then we are going to give you a chance to WIN it as well.
How the Slow Cooker Mate Came to Be:
After many years of trying to have children, I finally gave birth to a beautiful little girl. At that time, I had a very successful accounting practice and was working a lot of hours. I was very unhappy being away from my daughter so much so I decided to close my practice.
I knew I was not going to completely quit working. I wanted to find something I was passionate about but could work on while being with my daughter. I have always been envious of people who were passionate about their work and have always wanted to be one of them.
After a lot of soul searching, I decided my passion was cooking. I didn’t have enough recipes to write a cookbook and a restaurant or catering business was out of the question because of the long hours they required. I also did not have a food product that I felt was unique enough to market.
Then, one day, I was in a store and passed by the slow cookers. I remembered making a comment probably 10 years before that I loved my slow cooker and did not understand why it only cooked a one pot meal. I had seen cookers that were divided in two but even that seemed inadequate.
Why can’t it cook an entire meal? That being an entrée and two separate side dishes. After all, that is the type of meals we eat.
Something kept nagging at me. What is a slow cooker? It is just a small oven that cooks at a low temperature. So, why won’t it work? This was when I took the first step down the path and built the first very crude prototype. I was very pleased when the first prototype really did work. It really cooked the meal.
I did a lot of research to see what was on the market and did a survey of my target market to determine if there was any interest in a product like this. The results were very encouraging so, I continued working on the prototype and located a manufacturer who could make the product for me.
After 3 years of developing the prototype and working with the manufacturer, I have just introduced Slow Cooker Mate™ to the market. I hope this product will make it easier for Moms to put a nutritious meal together for their families and give them more time to enjoy their families.

This is a fabulous giveaway! I would love to cook menu #4 the Pork Roast with Mango and Ginger, sounds delicious!
Thanks
This seems like such a simple idea, why didn’t somebody think of it before?! Kudos to Diana York for a truly useful innovative idea! I’d love to win this, plus I love that there are great recipes on the website and the opportunity to share recipes with others. Creating a “community” of users is a great way to promote the product.

I think I will try the Asparagus in Mustard Sauce recipe because it sounds good to me.
I like that it switches to warm after time is up
Has anyone tried pot roast in one of these?
I love making dips in the crockpot. I could make lots in this.
Has anyone else tried one of these? I think it looks great.
Even hubby thinks this is the coolest thing. I could make a whole meal in pot and it wouldn’t have to be a “one pot recipe”.
I love using a crockpot. I have sooo many recipes that would be perfect for this.
I tweeted about this awesome invention! I want! http://twitter.com/PotamusPrefers/status/1324484107
I would love to have a soup or stew cooked in a slow-cooker since it’s cold out.
One more. Beef stew in a slow cooker is the best! I could even make it 18 hours in advance!
I can’t imagine having to program this for 18 hours ahead of time but wow, what a cool feature!
One more. Spinach and artichoke dip in the bottom, pita bread on top.
My slow cooker actually died this Christmas so I’ve been keeping my eye out for a replacement but haven’t found anything yet. The divided feature in this one is hard to find.
How about taco meat on the bottom, shells warming in another, and warm taco sauce in another. Oh the possibilities!
I love that in automatically switches to warm after the timer is up. You can’t even imagine how many crusty rings have been made in my old cooker because of overcooking.
I would also like to see it come in different colors. I’m not a fan of water spots and stains on stainless.
I wonder if you could do a queso dip in the bottom and warm chips on top. Yummy!
I try to make a healthy meal every night but I just don’t always have time. I’d love to have an option to get my entire meal together ahead of time and cook it all at once. This is a great time saver.
The only thing I can find that I don’t like about this is that I wish it had a hinged lid. I love this new feature that’s popping up on crockpots and slow cookers everywhere!
I could do a roast with potatoes and carrots. All in one!
I’d love to make stroganoff in this. Yummy!

I voted. She deserves to win. What a great idea!
I think the best feature is the removeable insert. I could cook my whole meal in one shot!
I think their cheesy potatoe recipe sounds amazing. This would be awesome to have to replace my mom’s old Orange and brown slow cooker from the 80s that I use.
What’s not to like about it. I like that it not only has a timer but that after 18 hours, it will automatically set to the keep warm. I like the idea that not only can you use it as a one pot slow cooker, but 3. I also voted again
BBQ pulled PArk is my favorite recipe for slower cookers!
I would love to win this giveaway so much so I can cook some of the delicious menu items listed like Creamed Spinach, Corn Casserole and Cheesy Potatoes. We don’t currently have a slow cooker mate in my household so it would really come in handy too especially since my mom really likes to cook on occasion. This is a great giveaway. Thanks for the wonderful opportunity to win.
Menu 2

I make pulled enchilada chicken in my crock pot and plan on featuring the recipe soon on Tasty thursdays. If I had the slow cooker mate, I could make some veggies and steam the tortillas at the same time.

Oh geeze..I dont know what I like more..that you can cook 2 -3 things at once, or that it has electronic buttons instead of a dial ( which is why mine old one is no longer usable!!!) I love that when the timer isup, it automatically goes to warm too!!!
The large 6 ltr capacity will hold up to a 6 lb roast or 2 3 lb chickens.
I would make my favorite with this fantastic all in one meal cooker

Thank you

Stuffed Turkey Loaf
One of my favorite dishes in a slow cooker is Hormone Free Turkey and Curried Vegetables! : ))) Yum!
leahita[at]gmail[dot]com
I’m really bad about just opening a bag, box or can for dinner, so this would be awesome to “set it and forget it!” Sorry about the infomercial, but I love cooking in slow cookers. I have one that’s really small, so it doesn’t cook much, and the other doesn’t have the removable crock, so cleanup is NO FUN. So I rarely use either one.

This is an idea that is long over due and VERY WELCOME indeed! Sometimes you want a meal that is not a casserole or stew/soup – but involves seperate courses – that you may want to cook in the same pot, but serve seperately. Or hey, how about being able to prepare appetizers, side or desserts at the same time – and still enjoy one pot clean up! Wow!

I would love to try this recipe! I think my family would enjoy it!
The less time I spend cooking ~is more quality time I can spend with my family!
An insert where you can cook more than one thing? How cool!
I twittered because I love this Mate!! http://twitter.com/Lepkugen/status/1285389978
I happily voted for her! How awesome!
This is an awesome product!! Menu #4 would be my first to make, we love pork!!!!
This slow cooker is awesome! I would like to try cooking any of their Menu items, especially Menu#2. I also like the fact clean up is easy, and it is dishwasher safe. Now this is the way to cook your entire meal in one pot. Thanks.
I voted for her really cool idea! thanks!
Menu 5 with the Vegetarian Bean Medley looks great. I love soups in the crockpot, thanks!
I like that the crocks are dishwasher safe and the handles are cool to the touch!
The Slow Cooker Mate looks like a great value and you can cook the whole meal at once!
Corn casserole I love that you can make sides. My kids hate having their food mixed together.
I want to get one of these to cook tamales & rice (my boyfriend’s favorite meal, but too time consuming as is).
Also- easy way to make frozen tamales and rice at the same time!! I had to replace my beloved ancient Rival model because the lid cracked and the new one just doesn’t seal up the same way, things dry out. Whoever wins, enjoy!
Pineapple and Orange Sweet Potatoes from their menu sound great! I like the idea of the divided sections so flavors don’t get all mixed together and clean up is easier.
I just voted for her! What a great idea!

The crock is large enough for either a 6 lb roast or 2 3-lb chickens. Now that’s big! (Is that with the side-dish isert in, or without?)
I like to carmelize onions in the slow cooker- you can do a whole pot full with minimal effort.
The meatloaf, cheesy potatoes and asparagus recipe I found on the website sounds great . But I am gonna make the corn casserole in my old crockpot tonight. I would love to own an appliance like this.
The Braised Chicken with Artichokes sounds amazing!
I like the stuffed turkey loaf.

I gave her a vote in the Start Up Nation Contest, because she certainly deserves one for such a wonderful invention (they say that the best inventions are “tweaks” on the originals)!
I love the unique divided insert (to cook more than one thing at a time), the fact that it’s programmable up to 18 hours, and the beautiful look of the Slow Cooker Mate TM – so you can take it from the place where it was first cooking right to the table to serve! This would definitely provide my family with more home-cooked meals since I wouldn’t have to WATCH it all the time, just set it up and let it COOK! and after it’s done it would go to the warm-up setting by itself! How wonderful AND safe!
Chicken and Asparagus in Onion Sauce! Mmmmmmmm! : )))

I’m a vegetarian, But Hubby is a Carnivore! Here is a recipe for
America’s Favorite Pot Roast
3 1/2 Pounds sirloin tip roast, trimmed
1/4 Cup flour
2 Teaspoons salt
1/8 Teaspoon pepper
3 Carrot — , Peeled and sliced
3 potatoes — peeled and quartered
2 Small onions – sliced
1 Stalk celery — cut in 2″ pieces
1 2 Oz Jar mushrooms – drained or 1/4 Cup mushroom gravy
3 Tablespoons flour
1/4 Cup water
Trim all excess fat from roast; brown and drain if using chuck or another highly marbled cut. Combine 1/4 cup flour, the salt and pepper. Coat meat with the flour mixture. Place all vegetables except mushrooms in Crock-Pot and top with roast (cut roast in half, if necessary, to fit easily). Spread mushrooms evenly over top of roast. Cover and cook on Low for 10 to 12 hours. If desired, turn to High during last hour to soften vegetables and make a gravy. To thicken gravy, make a smooth paste of the 3 tablespoons flour and the water and stir into Crock-Pot. Season to taste before serving. Serves 4 to 6

This is BRILLIANT! I am all over the meatloaf with cheesy potatoes and asparagus. I might have to make it with/without this awesome slow cooker! Oh, I hope I win!
The Slow Cooker Mate Would be perfect for making my home made Lentil soup. I just found out recently that when you add tomatoes to beans or Lentils you should add them towards the end, esp when using a slow cooker as it tends to make the Legumes stay very firm. I had NO idea… I think it is because of the acidity.
You can cook two side dishes on the top section.
Cool touch handles make this easier to use

The meatloaf!!!! My mouth is watering!!
I think the Slow Cooker Mate is the greatest idea since….well, since the slow cooker! If I’m lucky enough to win, the first thing I’m making is the Meat Loaf, Cheesy Potatoes and Asparagus in Mustard Sauce recipes on their site. Thanks for the chance to win!
I tweeted http://twitter.com/TheMudBug/status/1264401485
I like menu 2. The meatloaf sounds yummy. Although, I am not a fan of asparagus.
menu 5 (the vegetarian one) looks great.
Yum, the menu ideas sound delicious! I particularly like Menu 4′s Pork Roast with Mango and Ginger.
The lower chamber holds an entree for up to 5-6 people.
I love that the lid and stoneware crocks are all microwave and dishwasher safe. This is fantastic! Thank you for a great giveaway!

I not only voted for Sarah for the Slow Cooker Mate in the Stand Up Nation Contest, I left posted a comment:)
maggie@mannwieler.com
This is an amazing slow cooker and only $99.00! I love that the lid and stoneware crocks are microwave and dishwasher safe and the electronic controls automatically go to warm when the programmed time is finished. There isn’t another slow cooker on the market that can prepare an entre and two side dishes at the same time. I love it! I also took note of Menu #2-Meat Loaf, Cheesy Potatoes and Aparagus in Mustard Sauce, oh yum! And everything goes in at the same time!
Man, I sure could do some serious cooking with the Slow Cooker Mate:)
maggie@mannwieler.com
The lid and stoneware crocks are all microwave and dishwasher safe.
That’s a real plus for clean-up. I hope I win one…
thank you for the opportunity
I voted for her. Thanks for the chances.
I went with a menu item that I love to make at my home. Stuffed Bell Peppers. My family loves them.

The Crock can hold up to a 6lb roast or 2 – 3 lb chickens. That’s pretty big!
I liked the fact you can make 3 seperate dishes at one timw.
Menu #2 – Meat Loaf
Cheesy Potatoes
Asparagus in Mustard Sauce
Sound delicious!
I like the fact it is large enough to cook for 5-6 people and also separate items at the same time.
It is wonderful that it will hold up to a 6 poing roast or two 3 pound chickens. Very nice!
● Quality stainless steel construction
● Brushed metal finish
● Wrap around heat for even cooking
Meat Loaf and Stuffed Bell Peppers are two menu items that make my mouth water. I could use this in my house. Please accept my entry. Thank you.
I would give anything to win this slow cooker for my RV. It would make my summer much easier when cooking in an RV.
The fact the crock pot is divided is great. This is the first one I’ve heard of with that feature. How great is that?!?
Savory beef with garlic roasted potatoes sounds so delish in this magical slow cooker! : )))
Thanks again! : )))

I would love to have one of these. I would try the Stuffed Green Peppers I think. Everything sounded yummy. I love that you can cook in it and then it will set to warm automatically. Wonderful. I have so many things I would love to try in this Slow Cooker Mate, Chili in the bottom, cornbread casserole in one side of the top, and how about a Apple Crisp in the other side.. Sounds yummy!
I could go on and on, I have so many ideas.
Thanks for the wonderful giveaway.

Electronic controls automatically go to warm when time is finished
I voted and will bookmark to vote daily. I love this product idea.
Wow! What a great idea. I think my favorite feature, besides the split cooking crock, is the electronic controls automatically go to warm when time is finished. I tend to be forgetfull so this is an excellent feature.
The Slow Cooker Mate is large stoneware and divided stoneware that are dishwasher, oven and microwave safe. This is a fantastic, awesome, incredible invention!! Thank you for the contest!
I would make stuffed peppers in the pot….thanks for the great giveaway
If I had a Slow Cooker Mate I would use it to make Steel Cut Oats for the week.. they take so long on the stove. But in the cooker you can do them over night and have enough for the whole week!
Genius!!!!

I don’t think the zucchini would do well in this family, but otherwise Menu 4 looks like a winner.

What a great idea this slow cooker is. I love that the unique stoneware divided insert (found ONLY in the Slow Cooker MateTM) allows you to cook two more items at the same time. What a great time saver this slow cooker would be.
Thanks for offering this giveaway!
I found the stuffed bell peppers! Yum!
The quality stainless steel construction and electronic controls make for a durable and easy to use appliance.
I like this dinner menu:
Pork Roast with Mango and Ginger
Corn Casserole
Zucchini with tomatoes
Sounds wonderful to be able to cook everything all at once, yet keep it all seperated. Thanks!
You can cook more than one dish in this at the same time.
This looks like my dream kitchen appliance!! What a great idea. I looked at the menus and #4 would be the first I would try: pork roast, corn cassarole and zucchini.
the stuffed turkey loaf looks good

we have a very small cooking space which means a LONG time to through food together because you can only cook one thing at a time..this would give me the chance to cook a MEAL all at once!! LOL!

Well, the Slow Cooker Mate has it all over my mom’s crockpot….and mine! I really appreciate the separation between top and bottom. This means I no longer have to prep a veggie and side when I make a roast or other meat. I love this. Terrific product for us busy moms who are frugal and enjoy our slow cookers!
A slow cooker is so handy.

I’m registered with startup nation and didn’t see her in there yet! I voted!
the pork roast with mango and ginger sounds yummy! I love that this has more than one chamber and had never seen it before they started running these contests. It would help me because I buy meat that’s on sale and not always is tender. I like to make mexican food, etc and I have to slow cook either pork or steak roasts to do it.
i want to try making the stuffed turkey loaf!
I voted too!
Menu 5 sounds tasty with the Vegetarian Bean Medley, Pineapple and Orange Sweet Potatoes, & Creamed Spinach. I especially like the combination of citrus & sweet potato.
This would really come in handy on Playdate days when we’re all a bit frazzled. (Or when baby is nursing through a growth spurt and Mommy can’t get out of the rocking chair!) My toddler won’t eat stews or even spaghetti sauce(but loves meatloaf, go figure). But having the meatloaf, asparagus and cheesy potatos all together would be ideal.
I love the divided stonware part

Ok so i would love to make the Cheesy Potatoes and the Stuffed bell peppers!! YUMMY!!

OMG this is a fantastic product and now that we’re in full swing baseball season, dance comp. season, school, and practices are all day long. Who has time to cook!? Throw all the ingredients into a pot and go! Now my mouth is watering over the Menu 2 (http://www.slowcookermate.com/menu2.htm), ooh I love asparagas! Okay, i need one!
I voted for her!
I would try the Meat Loaf menu. I’ve never cooked meat loaf in the slow cooker before.
