Want to join in? Go here to learn how and to view the weekly list Small Talk Six topics for 2009.
Today’s topic is “6 things you always wondered about any of your teachers or professors when you were in school.” You can answer this with a list of 6 words, 6 phrases, 6 sentences, 6 paragraphs, 6 photos, 6 videos, etc . . .
Will your post be serious, humorous, or both this week?
Here are my six . . .
1) I wondered how many times my biology teacher in high school had to pee in one day because he was always drinking Coke and bouncing off the walls from all that caffeine.
2) I was curious to know how much one of my art professors earned annually between teaching and being a working artist. The class was invited to his amazing and incredibly huge studio and it must have cost more than a few thousand dollars to rent per month where it was located.
3) I always wondered if one of my history teachers had more than one toupee that he would rotate out . . . you know, so he would have extras when one is being cleaned.
4) I wonder what ever happened to the English teacher I had in junior high. I wasn’t part of it, but lots of kids tormented her because she was new. I’m pretty sure she did not come back the next year. Do you think she went to a different school or decided teaching 7th and 8th graders wasn’t for her?
5) We had a math teacher that was everyone’s favorite teacher. She was so nice and genuine and down-to-earth. I always wondered what her life was like growing up and if she was the way she was because of her childhood or in spite of it.
6) I wanted to ask the teachers who did not have children of their own why that was so. Did they not like children? Were there medical reasons? Did they just not meet the right person to raise a child with?

Coming in late because my DSL has been out since Friday evening. Was having withdrawals, so I’m over at Mom’s using it! lol
Wow, your list is much, much tamer than mine. lol Or maybe your teachers were tamer than mine. lol
This is a great topic. I find myself thinking about my old teachers a lot since I started homeschooling our son.
I and my whole family are sick . . . just colds, not the flu. ;P
I will try to visit everyone on Sunday.
Holy crap! I visited every site that has linked up to now and left a comment.
I need to get a life away from my desk….LOL
Good topic. This brings back memories. I will have to think a bit to come up with mine.
This was kind of a tough one!

What a great and fun list!! I enjoyed reading it! Have a great Saturday.
I think there is more of a chance that your art teacher made money from his art than his teaching, unfortunately.
Great list.
lol, i had one with a tupee too!
kids used to sk him how much hed “TO PAY” for notebooks, pens, etc…
so cruel!
OMGosh!! I totally forgot about the teacher that sooo obviously had a toupee….too funny!! Great list!
Good List! I need to formulate mine. I’ve had some interesting teachers and faculty over the years. For your #6, I think some people just like kids as long as they go home to other people. I couldn’t imagine teaching kids all day and then going home to my own. That’s too many kids for me. Some days the 2 I have is too many. I firmly believe there’s a special spot in heaven for teachers.
Teachers with toupees must be pretty common–I mentioned one on my post too!
Good list. LOL! Just wait until you read mine! I had some pretty interesting teachers.
