Small Talk Six: Mad Skills

Today’s topic is “6 talents you wish you possessed.” You can answer this with a list of 6 words, 6 phrases, 6 sentences, 6 paragraphs, 6 photos, 6 videos, etc . . .
This week’s list took some thinking on my part. Really there are so many things other people can do that I admire . . . like surgeons. There are also things other people can do that are just plain cool. Hmmm . . .
Okay, here are my six:
1) I would like to be able to sing . . . not to be famous or anything. It actually relaxes me and it would be nice if my family enjoyed it too.
2) I think it would be awesome to be a great chef and just to have the instincts to make a delicious meal no matter what I had available to me.
3) I am an artistic person and I love drawing, graphic design, and photography. I would love it if I could have a talent for sculpture and other 3-dimensional art forms.
4) It would be fun to be able to hypnotize other people. “You are getting sleepy. You want to pay me a million dollars to do your Christmas shopping.”
5) Is having a good memory a skill? I can remember occurances without any problems (much to my husband’s dismay), but I have a horrible time with dates, phone numbers, and faces.
6) What could be cooler than being able to communcate with animals like Doctor Doolittle?

1) What I wish I could do is throw random ingredients together and create something edible. I’m not saying I’d cook dinner all the time if I had this talent. My husband does most of the cooking now, and that’s the way I like it. I’d just like to be able to do it if I had to, like on a deserted island…

Really liked your list. I think talking to animal would be awesome. I wish I knew what my dog was trying to tell me when he just stands there and stares at me.
