Today’s topic is “6 ways your children tested you this week.” You can answer this with a list of 6 words, 6 phrases, 6 sentences, 6 paragraphs, 6 photos, 6 videos, etc . . .
On Friday, our twins official gave up the terrible twos for the terrible threes. If I can recall, the third year was much worse than the second for our oldest, who is now six.
Here are my six for this week:
1) Our now 3yr old twins have been especially difficult about eating their food during both lunch and dinner. It’s almost as if they’ve made a pact to get my husband and I as aggravated as possible, while wasting as much food as possible in the process.
2) Our 6yr old took it upon himself to discipline his little sister.
3) Our now 3yr old daughter actually told my husband “no” when he told her it was time to clean up.
4) After I took the time to take all the toys out of the toy bins that did not belong there, when I asked the twins to put those toys away in the right place, they threw everything back in the same bins.
5) Everytime the kids ask to watch a DVD, they always end up talking and playing so that nobody can hear or pay attention to the movie. So my husband and I are stuck trying to watch a movie that we most likely would not have chosen for ourselves without the tiniest chance of enjoying the film.
6) Our 6 year old has made up his own sounds that mean yes or no. So almost every time I ask him a yes or no question, I get extremely frustrated because he makes some random noise instead of saying “yes” or “no”.

I remember when each of my kids turned 3 (one of a time)… that was tough. I cannot imagine having two at once, God bless you!
hard ages the younger year i posted about mine and there are times the older years are as frustrating
Aren’t kids wonderful? I just heard this week that 3 is worse – I’m praying that my 2 year old skips 3!
NO is my five-year old’s favorite word nowadays. And it’s my least favorite. I no longer know who is anti-social between the two of us.
Oh, I remember when my oldest started reprimanding the younger ones. I tried to stop it but then I thought, hmmm, if they learn a healthy respect for her when she moves out she can take them with her…FREEDOM! LOL
