There were lots of awesome lies on the Sony Reader Giveaway. Truly, it was scary. I got a giggle out of the husband one, the “hizolla, voldy” one, and the one that pretended to be me.
But my favorite was a simple one liner:

If you know one thing about me (providing you come here often) you know that I am an avid reader and go through several books a week. Yes, a week. I am a freak of nature when it comes to the amount of information I can inhale from books. While I am not the type of person that will ever get rid of a real paperback book and replace it with technology, I love the idea behind the Sony Reader and its ability to travel and go on vacation with you without taking up any space.
These little readers have gotten so lifelike its just like reading a book!
Plus, shoving books into an already full suitcase or a car trip really isn’t practical and I often leave them behind and whine about it when I get to my location.

I recently finished and fell in love with Memoirs of a Geisha and am right now engrossed in a John Grisham novel called “The Brethren”. With that many books available for free, you may never need to even purchase a book!
If the readers can catch up to text books for college, I think there may be something to this! Can you imagine carrying a reader over 10 books? I would so be on that train.

I know the contest is over but I can not stop telling lies!
Should I win I will download the entire product available list off the complete internet and be able to search for coupons at the same time and nothing will ever cost me a cent again. In fact, I will make money eevry time I I pick up the Sony Reader. The Reader will translate every page for me and also suggest gifts and I will never forget a birthday or anniversary. That alone will make me popular and famous.

I once incurred the wrath of a she-witch named Drefolda Smutterings (or technically just a witch) ,who was beautiful but so incredibly jealous because she always wanted to tbe the best and most fierce person of them all, by borrowing a book from her collection and forgetting to return it (how am I supposed to know that Little House on the Prairie was her most favorite book EVER and she couldn’t go on with it?) Well, unfortunately, this powerful lady was actually easily angered and jealous of me because I had a bigger book collection so she decided to punish me with the most dreadful curse. Everytime I touch paper, I get a paper cut. Sure, I laughed at first at how weak the curse seemed but now my hands are covered in casts and band aids and throbbing ugly scars. No matter how hard I try I can’t hold a book, and reading is the greatest hobby out there. Unfortunately, I can no longer hold a book or even turn a blasted page which means I can’t return to school to gain more knowledge and become a productive member of society (and by productive I mean become a quaint actress and ambassador for developing nations, marry a dashing man, and adopt many loving orphan children and then my happiness and good fortune will stick to others and somehow in the unfolding of a series of terrific and luxurious events the blogger of MomDots.com will end up winning a Nobel Peace Prize for blogging because I will get so big and nominate her and everyone would take me seriously). How the heck do I know all this? Because once when the she witch Drefolda and I were having tea she looked into my future in her tea cup and predicted this. Lo and behold, this (and the thought of you being the best blogger out there) made her even more insanely jealous because even with all her magical powers she couldn’t mold her future to be like mine so when I failed to return the book she lost it.) which makes me sad and when I’m sad people around me get sad because they pity my grotesque hands and wish they could help. And I don’t want to be sad and I especially don’t want anyone to be sad either. But only one person can help, one person can change all that and Trisha, and that’s you. Once you grant me access to the Sony Reader the curse will be broken (in a way) and good luck will leap out because I would be able to resume the future that’s supposed to take place simply by being able to read without touching paper! Sadly, the bandaid business might go down a little but the owner will discover the cure for cancer in his spare time so that’s no loss there!
Congress has asked me to explain Obama’s health care reform to them, since they are too buys taking vacations every other week.

It pains me to even talk about my condition, my sentence, my burden since birth. I have a very rare allergy to paper. You have no idea how hard this has been for me. I couldn’t color like the other kids, instead I had to use a white board. I couldn’t write down answers in my notebook, I had a chalkboard to use. I long to crumple up a page, to rip a slice of it in two. However, nothing compares to my wish to own and be able to actually hold a book.
If I were to win this reader, my life long dream would be finally met. A book, a book I could hold, turn the pages of, and of course read. I feel for the other commenters, their various conditions and situations sound absolutely horrible. Which is why I plan to let them each come visit my book when I win.
