Halloween is one of those holidays that kids and adults can get into alike. Aside from dressing up to anything you want and endless candy binges (I personally buy the candy I like so I can sneak some prior to October 31st…), there are also the many scary flicks that really get everyone into the mood.

And while I have already had my fill with Scream4 this week, there are much tamer Halloween movies that the little ones can cozy up to.

I doubt Charlotte would be into Jason or Freddy, kwim?

So when Scared Shrekless arrived with a double DVD pack of characters we already know and love, it didn’t take Charlotte and I  long time to get into the pre-movie spirit and leave Phoenyx wondering what kind of family he was born into….

Charlotte’s opinion on the Scared Shrekless 2 DVD Pack when asked if she enjoyed the movie: “YES!! Can we watch it again?”

Chris’s opinion as the daddy that sat through the movie: “This new Shrek movie is in the same tradition as the other movies and its short so you can put it on before bedtime without it taking up too much time. It was cute like the others.”

This is Halloween at my house last year, where my little no-toothed diva dressed up as a witch:

(don’t be fooled by this smile….this witch doesn’t know how to clean her room)

Last year we went through like 500 costume ideas for my then 5 year old before she stuck on this one. She absolutely loves Halloween (I’m guessing its the allure of free candy) and has been asking me about it for the past 4 weeks.

This year when I asked her what kind of costume she wants, she said Wonder Woman. Honestly, I have no clue where she is getting it. To my knowledge she doesn’t even have a clue who Wonder Woman IS. Heck, I think Wonder Woman is before MY time.

But once a kid decides something, as you probably know if you have kids or have ever been around them, they have decided.

So Wonder Woman it will be…unless she changes her mind.

Which is likely.

Now this year you will have tons of choices on where to purchase your Halloween Costumes and if you are anything like me, EVERYTHING is easier to purchase online. I know with a newborn in my house, I am on the “please deliver to my front door” kick from now till age 3.

Speaking of little Phoenyx, I get to dress him up this year. *cough* I love torturing my kids before they are old enough to tell me now. Its like a special parental privilege.

The only problem is that I’m finding that  infant costumes come in a 0-6 month age range . I’ll have to wait further along to see how big he gets before I get him one. Ideally I would love to have him match Charlotte, so if she stays on the Wonder Woman theme, this, or something similar, will be my choice:
