Day #11: I could kick your ass

Ok, not really.

But the other night on FNL we were talking about the sports we did as kids and I did TaeKwonDo for 5 years. I won 3 national championship trophies. I wasn’t half bad at it. But teenage hormones and all of that took over and I dropped out.

But I can still kick this high. My Dh made me prove it last night. After I did it, he said..yeah, but your not in heels.

Asswipe.

Things just pop now and I’m afraid they will break.

Cut me some slack.

Anytime Kim gives me grief about a graphic I like and she doesn’t, I’m referring her to this post so she knows who’s  boss.

Day #8: Murder Mystery

Once upon a time we used to be fun.

And have friends.

And with friends came get togethers. However instead of parties, we used to host murder mystery dinners, which were a lot more fun. Inevitably, I was always the murderer..whether by fate or divine intervention the role suited me quite well.

Now one year we held one that was based around the 1970′s. I played a version of Gloria Steinbeck and DH was some tripped out version of John Travolta. You have no idea how hard we searched for 70′s garb in the thrift stores. In and out and in and out. Nada.

Bell Bottoms are not as easy to find as you may think.

We finally settled and decided that ANYTHING tacky would work and bought this outfit, complete with child molester sunglasses. I am pretty sure the pants were a size 12 in boys.

While Chris’ outfit alone is completely ridiculous, the funniest part you cannot even see.

His pants RIPPED the crotch open when he put them on well before anyone had even arrived. I think maybe we stapled them back.

I peed myself laughing that night -and I cant even blame it on the weak bladder I sustained from labor.

Day #7: Pregnancy

I hated being pregnant.

I hated the entire concept from throwing up, to getting bigger, to labor. Therefore, I hated any form of pregnancy “documentation”.

But I did allow 1 picture to be taken of me showing my stomach. This was taken almost one month to the day before Charlotte was born.

Now my hair- it has it’s own memory. Earlier that day I made the mistake of thinking that I needed to CUT and COLOR it. I took off about 4 inches.

I cried.

And cried.

And cried.

Who the hell colors and cuts their hair while pregnant?

Me.

Day 1: Flashback to the 90′s

I have a lot of online friends. And a lot of them are doing these 365 day blogs inspired by the 365 day project and I admit..I’m jealous.

I didn’t want to go rip off their 365 day ideas either so I have been contemplating how I can get involved.

And contemplating.

And tapping.

And now there are only 325 days left.

And I have finally GOT IT!

You know me from the blog and I am pretty straight forward about my life if we are discussing something specific, but you don’t know me throughout my whole life… there are a lot of blog posts that have passed by just waiting to be shared.

So I am going to give you 325 Days of Memories.

Every day I am going to pull a random picture of my 9 massive boxes of photos (that was when photos were actually printed) and share with you the memory of what was going on in that photo.

Without further ado: Day #1

This is Chris and I…in HIGH SCHOOL.

Check out that rad hair he had….

He used to blow dry it.

And dont let him fool you..he thought he was  hot stuff.

Small Talk Six: Those School Girl (or Boy) Days

smalltalksix3001Want to join in?  Go here to learn how and  to view the weekly list Small Talk Six topics for 2009.

Today’s topic is “6 things you loved or hated about school.” You can answer this with a list of 6 words, 6 phrases, 6 sentences, 6 paragraphs, 6 photos, 6 videos, etc . . .

There were things I loved and hated about school from grade school all the way through college.  It was fun thinking back and reminiscing.

Here are my six:

1)  I LOVED shopping for school supplies!

2)  I HATED buliies, but I LOVED that there were always people willing to stand up for me even though I always stood up for myself.

3)  I HATED the pressure to do well from my parents.  A “B” might as well have been an “F” to them.

4)  I HATED taking tests, even if it was something I knew I could ace.

5)  I HATED physical education.  Is there anyone out there more uncoordinated than I am?  Highly unlikely.

6)  I LOVED making some long-life friendships, some of which have endured all these years.

Now go post your own list on your blog (don’t forget to grab a button) and then leave the direct link to your post on Mr. Linky.  Then go check out everyone else’s Small Talk Six lists and leave them a comment so they know you stopped by.  If for some reason Mr. Linky isn’t there, just leave your links within a comment.
