Moms like coupons because it saves them money on their households…right? (which if you are in my house just means you buy more stuff with the money you saved..I never really save anything). I wanted to start this post off by first telling you that you could get a Rayovac Coupon for $3 over at their Rayovac Facebook page. Even better, its for the rechargeables, so its like saving money on saving money.

Let your brain wrap around that for a minute.

Speaking of rechargeables, what kind of batteries do you generally use in your home? With the holidays coming up, its probably time to start thinking of all the toys that say “batteries not included” and prepping for the 48 straight house of over-stimulation your kids are looking forward to from December 25th-27th, am I right? There is nothing that irks me more than to get home and realize that I have to run back out to get prepped for Christmas morning.

You can stop that future expedition now by stocking up on rechargeable batteries. Its a lot easier to head to the kitchen, pop them out of the wall and into your toys, and always have a pair on hand and ready.

Speaking of, I think its time to change out the remote in my house!

Now I’ll be honest, cause what would a blog post be without honesty. I am not a “green” person. I probably use more water than 3 households combined..i know, i know.  I dont go out of my way to be organic or pick the one thing that is going to save the environment, but when presented an option between the two, I always pick the responsible choice. Rechargeables do offer less waste while saving you money at the same time. And while I buy both types of batteries, you can recharge up to 500 TIMES on a rechargeable batter, which is nothing to shake a stick at.

That’s like…..3 years of Nintendo usage.

Ok, I may be making that up, but I think you get my point.

For your own knowledge, there are different kinds of rechargeable batteries. There are every day usage and Platinum. Getting the right battery will help you be prepared i the moments you really need them. For you bloggers (or moms, cause moms do this too) the double A batteries that many cameras take can use the rechargeable Platinums to take 400 photos!  Platinum batteries are for high drainage things like tools and toys.  They charge up to 3 times faster (which keeps the Charlotte from whining…or your DH depending on if the Xbox controller is working or not) and lasts up to 16 times LONGER than the average lithium battery.

So all this battery talk has me wondering…what kind of toys are your kids asking for this year for the holidays?
