Come on, we both know you are here for that link, lets not kid ourselves.
Now on with the show.
This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Purex. All opinions are 100% mine.
A few weeks ago Purex sent over a package of their Purex 3-in-1 Laundry Sheet. I have to admit I have watched other bloggers test them out and I walk by them in the store all the time and wonder. I have been a Purex user for a long time, but once I got my new washer and dryer last year, I was convinced I need special High Efficiency liquid and have been doing the hop around on laundry detergent since October. I have gone through all the major brands, even for the first time in my life, spending $18 for a bottle of laundry detergent.
$18.
$18.
Ouch.
And it took us 2 months to figure out that that $18 bottle was making our clothes stink. Figures, right?
So back to Purex. What the heck. I’ll bite and go back around to the old detergent I used to use. I mean, I never had prior problems that made me want to switch, it was all about the High Efficiency thing. The first question out of my mouth…
Can Purex 3 in 1 be used in front loading High Efficiency washers? They said YES.
Woo Hoo!
So for the past week I have done all this laundry only using Purex:
That’s my closet right now. DH and I are going to battle on who has to fold it some time this week. Maybe rock, paper, scissors.
Now I’ll be honest, its hard to judge what laundry detergent is better. This detergent, that detergent. My clothes seem to be clean no matter what I use.
HOWEVER.
The real convenience factor is actually this:
That’s my laundry drawer; the one underneath the washing machine that holds the soap.Do you see how NASTY it gets? The draining of liquid spilling and with the left overs in the cups? Sometimes I have to throw the cups into the washing machine with the clothes just to get them cleaned our properly. It’s a MESS under there.
Who wants to clean that? Have you ever tried to wipe up soap? Its disgusting.
With the sheets, you dont have that laundry leak. Its just pull a sheet and it washes, softens, and then is a dryer sheet all in one. So you pop from the washer to the dryer without any extra work or mess.
You don’t need to buy washing liquid, softener, and dryer sheets. You need ONE product. Kinda like buying shampoo and conditioner. You get to skip a step.
I like that part. The easy part.
MOM SUGGESTION: Now the only actual idea I have is that they come in a plastic wrapping, which of course is to keep the cost down. It’s not my personal preference.
I would actually suggest that Purex puts the sheets in baby wipes tub and sell refiller packs that you can keep adding when you get low. Someone like me cannot follow instructions and inevitably ends up tearing the bag and putting in a zippy bag.
I think buying one starter tub and then refillers would be a total plus to this product.
So the big question is..would I buy them again and use all my hard earned blog money on them? Yes.
To keep those drawers clean alone is worth it.
Regarding smells and all that..that’s up to you. Everyone likes something different and every detergent affects each family different. But like i said before, you don’t have to take my word for it…
