Totally Cute Bra alert!

Yesterday Zippy put up this totally cute bra set from Anthropologie.

I have never actually ordered from there and I am usually hesitate to order undergarments online anyhow, but this was so cute that I had to snap up the set.

Wanted to share in case anyone else needed an adorable bra/panty set!

And….now you know what kind of underwear I buy.

We sure are getting close around here.

Update:

OK, here is what it looks like..its less revealing than a bikini so I figured we are safe on the “too sexy” angle.

Overall, I really like it. I feel like the top runs a tad small (so be aware if you are chesty..which I am clearly not) and the bottoms run a tad big, so size down. I like how soft the material is, but the straps around the arm area seem to rub where they disconnect from the top (it goes strapless) at your cup line/arm area.  Overall I would buy from them again.

Mothers Day Presents.

In a perfect world, this is what I would get for Mothers Day. Not Necessarily in that order.

Shopping for boys…

Where do you shop for the little boys in your life?

Change Your Tone (and Win!)

I am not going to lie. Clogs and I don’t get along.

Its not that I don’t see the practically in the rubbery-worn-nurse-betty clunkers, but I cant get past the design. Even if you tell me they are the most comfortable things you have ever worn, and let’s face it, you probably will.

So when Crocs approached me and wanted me to check out their shoes, I had to get on the phone with them first and say that….I dont like Clogs. They respected that.

But now I am changing my tone.

I am changing my tone from “I may not like clogs” to “I can still like Crocs”. Crocs have come a long way from its initial shoe launch and have developed into shoes that can also be respected in the fashion world, as well as in your closet. With Heels, Wedges, Sandals, Flip Flops, Boots, Flats, Slip-ons, and yes, even Clogs, there is sure to be a style that is perfect for your aching feet.

Crocs Tone

Right now Crocs are introducing their new “tone” line.

Perfect for you mama and you mamacitas.

Sandals, flip flops, flats and the infamous clog, you can get these new tone shoes in a variety of beautiful colors for your wardrobe.

My personal favorite are the Sandals. Starting now till about….October, I live in Sandals and it shows.

To celebrate “toning up” we are going to change our tone!  Over on the Crocs Facebook page they have started to change their tone by finding headlines that might bring you down and spinning them into a positive light.

For example, you can find this sweet crocs guy telling you about someones engagement gone wrong:

But once you scroll over the headline, he reappears with some positivity!

Here is something I am writing that is in a negative tone.

Ill entitle it:

If God Gives me a Son, Its Punishment for something I have done Wrong.

I don’t want a son because boys are stinky, dirty, and loud. Right now I have a perfect little princess that lets me fix her hair, put her in dresses and we can go shopping together. I have zero boy skills. I hate to be outside, I am not into sports, and I pity any boy that is stuck at home learning crafts with his mama all day.

Plus, lets not even get started on potty training. I would have no idea how to tell a boy to pee into a toilet, much less demonstrate. Ack! Oh, and that little fact that I married a boy….I know exactly what they are capable of.

Give me pigtails, pink, and sugar any day.

Kim from Accidental Mommies came in to “change my tone:”

Blue is beautiful!

Boys like trucks and dirt and loud noises, and they teach us to see the world different than girls do.  Tactile and interactive, they engage the world and get their hands dirty doing it.  They don’t care if their hair is messy, but they do like it when you get out the brush and the wax and spike it up and make them look cool.  And while they don’t like to shop for clothes, they do like when you buy them new ones with skateboards and plaid patterns on them.

Boys like to be the center of attention and teaching them things like cooking and crafts will help them to grow up to be well rounded and creative.  Taking boys out in public is easier too, especially at potty training age.  Putting a 2-3 year old girl on a large dirty public toilet is no fun, but with a boy, they just stand and aim – and they’ve probably watched daddy enough to know how to do it.

Having a little man to love and protect you is worth it all!

Irony in its finest form.

I am over here admitting defeat that I am a pregnant and looking for cute spring/summer wear. While some of you are still stuck in the “hell freezes over” part of the United States (or Canada), down here on the Gulf Coast we went from freezing to summer in 1 week flat.

Oh sure, when its kinda breezy its spring, but when its not, its practically swimming weather. I think Charlotte will be getting a pool in her Easter basket.

Anyway I am doing a “surf around the internet” looking for summerfied dresses and I click on Motherhood Maternity and see this:

Maternity + Skinny Jeans = WTF

I have no words.

Skinny Jeans For Children Suck.

I am having this serious problem with Charlotte’s school clothing that is utterly pissing me off, to say the least.

She has to wear khaki pants to school everyday. Its part of their uniform. I hate uniforms, but that’s another post.

Anyhoo, she has recently hit this growth spurt. I have a 6 year old that comes up to my chest and trust me, she reminds me everyday. “Mommy, I can touch your boobies!”

Her sizes are pretty standard for her age…mainly a 6x. Sometimes a 6, sometimes a 7, but 6x is usually a safe bet if she isn’t around to try things on. The actual problem comes in regarding the style of the clothing available on the market.  For example, I recently went shopping at Target for some new khaki pants for her….everything, and I mean everything, was “skinny” khakis, jeans, corduroys, you name it.

The irony of “skinny” anything in this country cracks me up, but the whole thought process of putting my 6 year old in skinny pants pisses me off. I don’t want her wearing pants that are essentially leggings but troll up her behind.  The problem is, I cant find any pants, with the exception of the uniform store itself, that are not falling under this horrifically inappropriate trend.

Look at this poor girl this morning:

Whose idea was it to make “skinny” jeans for size 2t, 3t, 5t, 6x??  There are certain ages that clothing should not be made in. If it shows your belly, hugs your body, or says “Delicious” on the butt, it should come in sizes 1 and up. As in adults…not in children. Maybe we should be looking to the fashion industry for the destruction of our childrens morality. Maybe it starts with the pants!

Honestly I would have zero issue buying her pants solely from the uniform store except the crotch area isn’t long enough for her body type on the only pants they carry for her and the seam runs desperately close to places it shouldn’t. In short, she refuses to wear them because of it and I dont exactly blame her.

I am all for trend…if it makes my little girl look like a little girl.

Today I bought 3 pair of shorts from Zulily by Hazel that I adore. Sweet..simple….AGE APPROPRIATE.

Now why can’t they have age appropriate pants?

Does anyone have any clue where I can find cargo pants for 6x or have they stopped making them entirely in exchange for childhood sex appeal? I would rather Charlotte look like a boy than a 6 year old trying to walk the runway at school.

Hot on Zulily Right now!

These are some of my favorite type of outfits…little leggings, matching shirts, and attached tutus. I have posted some pictures of charlotte in other brands that have this similar style. The attached tutu is the most important part of this. It takes an outfit from looking like Walmart to looking sweet…not that there is anything wrong with Walmart.

Trust me,  I shop there – and Target to for that matter. But you dont want your clothes to look like they are discounted (or fall apart like they are discounted for that matter).

I love a sale as much as the next person, often more than the next person, which is why I just gave two very large garbage bags full of clothing to my  niece. Its a sickness. Zulily is always teasing me with stuff and testing my willpower.

Now I will test yours!

This brand is called Youngland.

[learn_more caption="About Youngland" state="open"]Youngland offers clean, classic styles for little girls who like to crawl, climb and cartwheel in casual everyday wear. Regularly retailing for $30, you can get them for only $15.99 and totally stock up for the impending spring months. If i had to pick just one outfit, I would go with this black, white, and red one which seems like it would be perfect for Valentines day and beyond:

Zulily also has a plethera of other brands in its arsenol this week including:

And for the record, if you know me well you will know that I have posted about this Litlte Mass outfit before it even hit the Spring market on its season…and I saw it come up on Zulily and it was GONE when I got there, which was like 8am.

I cried.

Mooncakes Sale!

Right now Zulily has the adorable outfits of the brand Mooncakes on sale!

mooncakes founder Mary Morrison had a light-bulb moment at a boutique in Florida when she noticed a cashmere baby kimono set with a sky-high price. She loved the east-meets-west vibe but not the cost, so she decided to start her own line of affordable Shanghai-meets-Palm-Beach baby wear. She explored Hong Kong, crafted something beautiful, and now we all get to enjoy sweet mooncakes.

Mooncakes birthdate: Fall 2004
Location: Coral Gables, Florida
Our niche: East + West = Classic worldly layette, babies are year round so are we! (many styles in stock)

Company slogan: “Mama says they was magic shoes. They could take me anywhere”. – Forrest Gump

At 50% off, I would snap up all three of these outfits if you have a sweet little girl running around (or about to be running around).

I find the beautiful hot pink ruffles paired with the polka dots, quite retro and lovely.

Mooncakes also recently introduced pettskirts this year.

You can find more about mooncakes for the next 3 days on Zulily or on the official Mooncakes website if you miss the sale, located  here.
