How to set a bad example for your kids and kill your husband in 1

Before you yell at me, a friend of mine gave it to me just yesterday and the safety net rotted out so I have to get a new one.

In the mean time, if he does happen to fall off and break his neck, I promise I’ll cry all the way to his funeral in my new Lexus.

Kidding.

The Trampoline in the Mall

One time at the mall we let Charlotte do this jumpy trampoline thing…and every single time we go to the mall now, she wants to do it again.

Who can blame her? Total fun if you are a kid.

Here is some video of her showing off on our last trip.

Trust me..this takes some skill. She is putting those gymnastics lessons to work…… and giving us motion sickness at the same time.

That’s cause I’m old.

Trampoline…yes or no

[private]

I know its controversial among moms…the trampoline, yes or no. I would LOVE to get Charlotte a trampoline. I have watched her all summer long playing at the neighbors (enclosed) and that girl could jump for HOURS. Her mama, on the other hand, cant jump twice in a row without feeling like vomiting. I attribute that to my obviously amazing physique and over 30 equilibrium.

Anytime I bring it up I get two responses. Either ‘doesn’t matter what you do, what kind of precautions you make, your child is going to get majorly hurt’ or ‘they will love it!’.

Its not like Im buying her a personal ice skating rink:

I found this ultra cute personal trampoline on amazon and it appeals to me because I can put it in the house and when she is being insanely out of control with energy, I can send her upstairs to jump it all out. ($79)

DH thinks waste of money because she will grow out of it…sure, but she is only 4 and it holds up to 153 pounds, so unless we are planning a trip to Maury Povich for our 100 pound 4 yr old, I think we are safe.

I was going to buy that one Wal-Mart had on sale for Black Friday, they had 4 left when we got there. But DH vetoed that one too because he said it was too ‘cheap’.

You would never know this man actually wants to get one.

Trust me, I would love this $700 Trampoline that would take up my entire backyard so we could have jumping parties and get sued by the neighbors kid who would inevitably break his arm on our trampoline (even though he didn’t jump on his all summer).

But since I cant…whats a good trampoline size? Do you find them safe? Is getting the in the house mini one a good compromise or a waste of cash?
