Take Me Back: The Ultimate $250 Reader Prize Pack! CLOSED

Now that charlotte is almost 4, she has really started to recognize and sound out letters. In fact, I got a really amazing necklace (im going to tell you about in another post) that says MOmDot on it and she likes to point out the letters and put them together for me! She is definitely on her way to becoming a reader.

I read every night. Right now, I am reading this great book one of my friends sent me called Kabul Beauty School and recently I put out my top 10 favorite books of the year in a post below.

Reading is important as an adult, and as a child, and is the basis of how everything works and everyone learns. Thats why I am so excited to be able to offer you this amazing giveaway, with a grand prize worth $250 of books and 4 runner up prizes worth $25.

History may repeat itself, but there is no need to make the same old history book over and over.  From the creators of the award-winning, New York Times Bestsellers Pick Me Up and Do Not Open comes Take Me Backa journey throughout history like never before! Rock out at a gory Aztec festival, read the blog of Louis XVI’s closest confidant, take a pinball tour of Celtic Europe, and check out Alexander the Great’s fan site.  With content that’s comprehensive, irreverent and witty, Take Me Back is bound to become a classic.

Can you imagine your child’s face to open up all these books on Christmas Day, including a $50 gift card from amazon to pick out their OWN favorites?

  1. Lindsay P says:

We would love the Dr. Frankenstein’s Human Body Book. My husband just finished up medical school and the kids would love the reading time with him. Thanks!

  2. Staci A says:

My 4 year old would love “Animals: A Visual Encyclopedia.” He wants to be a zoologist when he grows up, and he loves to read. We have a few other animal encyclopedias, and he will sit with them for hours, no joke. He’s been reading them for the last year and a half. Now, all the animals have become his “pets.” It would be great to have a new book to reinforce what he knows and hopefully introduce some new animals. Dr. Frankenstein’s Human Body Book also looks pretty cool.

  3. jenny says:

My daughter AND my husband would love the animals book. They just love to read about animals together, and make animal noises!

  4. themomjen says:

Very cool contest, my men in the house would love the book about Cool Stuff Exploded(ing) because they’re…well boys!

    ;)

  5. Sky says:

Cool Stuff Exploded is right up Johnny’s alley! He’s one of those kids that school doesn’t come very easy, but give him something to take apart and put back together…he’ll do it!

  6. I tweeted about this giveaway under _Karen.

  7. My oldest son would enjoy Animals: A Visual Encyclopedia the most because it is age appropriate for him The rest of the books are a little too advanced for a 4.5yr old.

  8. AJ says:

Dr. Frankenstein’s Human Body Book would be a hit in our house! This would be a great christmas gift!

  9. Melissa says:

My twins would seriously love the “Cool Stuff Exploded” book!

  10. savvysuzie says:

My son would definitely love the Animals book…but I think my HUSBAND would steal Dr. Frankenstein’s Human Body Book!

  11. AmandaG says:

My son would love Dr. Frankensteins’ Human Body Book. He’s ALL about science stuff right now.

  12. Sarah says:

How funny! Mo just brought home a library book from school all about the Knights. And she’s been trying to joust with her brother (not sure if that’s for the injury factor or because she thinks it’s cool) so I’m thinking the Knights would be a huge hit here!

  13. Deb says:

My girls would love the Animals: A Visual Encyclopedia book – they all love animals! :)

  14. sarah says:

“cool stuff exploded” would probably be the most interesting one! :)

  15. Alyce says:

There are so many wonderful books here! I think my son would probably like “Animals: A Visual Encyclopedia” the best – he’s really into animals right now.
