Now that charlotte is almost 4, she has really started to recognize and sound out letters. In fact, I got a really amazing necklace (im going to tell you about in another post) that says MOmDot on it and she likes to point out the letters and put them together for me! She is definitely on her way to becoming a reader.
I read every night. Right now, I am reading this great book one of my friends sent me called Kabul Beauty School and recently I put out my top 10 favorite books of the year in a post below.
Reading is important as an adult, and as a child, and is the basis of how everything works and everyone learns. Thats why I am so excited to be able to offer you this amazing giveaway, with a grand prize worth $250 of books and 4 runner up prizes worth $25.
History may repeat itself, but there is no need to make the same old history book over and over. From the creators of the award-winning, New York Times Bestsellers Pick Me Up and Do Not Open comes Take Me Back–a journey throughout history like never before! Rock out at a gory Aztec festival, read the blog of Louis XVI’s closest confidant, take a pinball tour of Celtic Europe, and check out Alexander the Great’s fan site. With content that’s comprehensive, irreverent and witty, Take Me Back is bound to become a classic.
Can you imagine your child’s face to open up all these books on Christmas Day, including a $50 gift card from amazon to pick out their OWN favorites?

These are both awesome prizes! I’d absolutely love to enter. I think if I won the grand prize my girls would be the most excited about the Animals book. They all look great, but I think they’d gravitate towards this one first.
Thanks!

Animals, a visual Encyclopedia will be my choice for my little one year old boy. Thanks.
I think my girl would get the most use out of the book, Animals: A Visual Encyclopedia right now. Then as she got older she could move on to the next one.
Definately Cool Stuff Exploded. My son loves taking things apart and always asking what makes it work- this book would be great for him.

Animals: A Visual Encyclopedia is one I look forward to exploring with my toddler. He’s already learnt the names and sounds of all the usual ones you see in children’s book and I was trying to find a book that’d have more animals from around the world. What better than an Animal Encyclopedia – I didn’t even know there was a book like that around!
Thanks for this great giveaway!
