Now that charlotte is almost 4, she has really started to recognize and sound out letters. In fact, I got a really amazing necklace (im going to tell you about in another post) that says MOmDot on it and she likes to point out the letters and put them together for me! She is definitely on her way to becoming a reader.
I read every night. Right now, I am reading this great book one of my friends sent me called Kabul Beauty School and recently I put out my top 10 favorite books of the year in a post below.
Reading is important as an adult, and as a child, and is the basis of how everything works and everyone learns. Thats why I am so excited to be able to offer you this amazing giveaway, with a grand prize worth $250 of books and 4 runner up prizes worth $25.
History may repeat itself, but there is no need to make the same old history book over and over. From the creators of the award-winning, New York Times Bestsellers Pick Me Up and Do Not Open comes Take Me Back–a journey throughout history like never before! Rock out at a gory Aztec festival, read the blog of Louis XVI’s closest confidant, take a pinball tour of Celtic Europe, and check out Alexander the Great’s fan site. With content that’s comprehensive, irreverent and witty, Take Me Back is bound to become a classic.
Can you imagine your child’s face to open up all these books on Christmas Day, including a $50 gift card from amazon to pick out their OWN favorites?

With 8 Grand children, I would be able to give EACH ONE a book as a gift!! The little ones like Elmo, Dora the Explorer, but animals would be great!!
I know Topher would love the Animals: A Visual Encyclopedia book!
I love Animals: A Visual Encyclopedia!
My daughter loves animals, so she would love the animal book.
Nathan would love “Dr. Frankenstein’s Human Body Book!” I think he’s gotten his love for anatomy and physiology from his mom (who’s an internist), and he always shows a natural curiosity about how the body works. I’ve done my part by buying him some other children’s books geared toward teaching them about human anatomy (as well as buying him the board game Operation!), and this book looks like it would be terrific. Thanks for the generous giveaway!
My son is an animal freak so he will love the animal book.
We have a set of old encyclopedias and my daughter loves to study the plastic sheets of human anatomy so I think she would love Dr. Frankenstein’s Human Body Book.
I think my boy would love the Animals: A Visual Encyclopedia the most.

I think that Take Me Back looks really good it will help alot with my daughters World History.
My son would absolutely love the Cool Stuff Exploded, course most boys would. I think he would also enjoy the Animals as well. He is really growing in his reading, we just finished “The Classroom at the End of the Hall” and he has shown great interest in the Geromino Stilton reader books. Anything that will get him reading is great with me! Children’s minds are sponges, ready to learn, books set a wonderful path in life.
