I got “you will always have my heart” with light shining from behind a heart, with an army chain that has my husband’s name who passed away in 2010. We were both military and i love it. It sounds like a lot but to see it is to love it, it all blends together beautifully.

I have “Tueri Nostri Angelus in Caelo” which means ‘protect my angel in heaven’ in Latin- for my Nan who passed away last year. She was my best friend and hero! This is part of a black and grey sleeve consisting of a fallen angel, cherubs and doves flying in heaven between the clouds. A common theme nowadays with sleeves but nevertheless, it is done brilliantly and I love remembering the amazing person that she was everytime I look at it. I also have ‘Justice’ in old english font on the back of my neck which has a double meaning. It is my surname and also a word I live by. My next tat will be on my ribcage with a quote I wrote and read at my Nans funeral ‘Without you, i’ll survive because you have taught me, that knowledge is power and the world is a library. We’re supposed to sit quietly, leaving the glory to celebrities- influenced by society, to show no variety or say anything detrimental that might excite me or inspire me. You Enlightend me’
I plan on getting two quote tatts.
One on my left foot that says “It Goes On” From my favorite Robert Frost quote, “In three words I can sum up everything I’ve learned about life: it goes on”
And on my right foot I plan on getting “Hope is the thing with feathers” From the first verse of my favorite Emily Dickinson poem, “Hope is the thing with feathers, that perches in the soul and sings the tune without the words and never stops at all”
And I don’t know is it counts as a quote tatt but I also plan on getting “Daddy’s Girl” tattooed on the inside of my wrist.
My daughter, for Mothers Day last year, brought me to a tattoo parlor and told the artist what to put on my ankle
“as is the Mother so is her Daughter”. She got the same one! It was a very special Mothers Day gift indeed <3

If I DID get a tattoo, which I won’t, and if it were of a quote, I would put on the back of my hand so that I can always see it. The quote? umm… probably “Throw your burden on ” with little music notes for accents. IF!!!

I have viking runes tattooed on both my forearms and one on the back of my neck. Each rune stands for an idea or concept that i live by. On my left arm are the runes for Love, Friendship, Ambition; my right arm has Strength, Victory, Protection; on my neck is the rune for Warrior.

I have “While I breathe … I hope” tattooed across both my wrists. The artist messed up the lettering and I had it covered, not out of regret but dissatisfaction. I plan on moving the sentence elsewhere. Keeping something so simple in mind can get you through so much

a quote does not have to be 100% your own creation to have special meaning for one person.

I think unless you have come up with the quote yourself then it’s a little unoriginal to get it tattooed on to you. I have a small tattoo and always regretted not coming up with it myself. After a year or 2 it was just someone else’s words on my back.
I have 2 tattoo’s currently, getting more. The quote one I have says “live fast, love hard, die young, and leave a beautiful memory” in two lines on my back. It’s an old Faron Young country song, and it took on a whole new meaning when 2 close friends passed away in a car accident and another committed suicide with in a year.

Stumbled upon this website (: I have two tattoos at the moment, but I will have at least 8 more before next summer. I have had all of mine planned out for over a year now.
The one on my collarbone is from Song of Solomon 6:3 and it reads, “I am my Beloved’s and my Beloved is mine.” Double meaning. For now, it is simply about God, but once my fiance and I are married, it will be about my relationship with the man God has created for me, as well.
The other tattoo I have is an owl that I drew myself. A friend of mine and I got matching ones, but our shading is a bit different. Owls symbolize prophecy, which is why I’ve always wanted one on me. (:
I personally love tattoos, and I believe that I am using them to further God’s kingdom. In the ministry He has called me to, if you are not at least a bit tattooed and you don’t have gauges, the kids won’t even give you the time of day. I already have two tattoos and I’m getting another one shortly. I love quote tattoos and that’s what my next tattoo will be, a quote from my dad, “there is always the possibility of one more last game.” This refers to baseball (we’re both big fans) and the fact that he was diagnosed with terminal prostate cancer a couple years ago with an initial prognosis of 3 – 6 months. i have the first tattoo in the very same spot. its the most painful spot to get 63 words… it was worth it and i would never change where i got it.
I want to get a tatto with the lyrics, “I’m thinking of what Sarah said that love is watching someone die.” It’s a powerful quote and very meaningful to me. My mother’s name was Sara and my sisters and I had to watch her die this past Christmas. It really shows you who you truly love.
I do think there is some kind of philosophy behind this, Those lines have huge significant…now, I don’t really know if the part where they coose to tatoo it has something to do. It’s art anyway.

Some of those just seem a bit overdone to me. I have thought about doing song lyrics in memory of loved ones lost but ultimately, writing is a tough call in the tattoo world. I have a friend that got an quote and well, it got screwed up….
