The Love Triangle at MomDot

I was thinking of this on my way back home from Chucky Cheese tonight….let me tell you a little about Toni, Alicia, and I. Its a really odd, kinda weird story. First, behind the scenes, our friend Alicia is emailing her tail off. She is our sponsorship liaison and is making sure its all organized for all the gifts, with numbers, emails, company names, and follow ups. She is truly a very important team member I am getting ready to intro you to. I haven’t talked about her before, because she refused to give me a picture of her. LOL

First things first..Toni and I met in high school, about 16 years ago. (Ouch, that hurts to say.) We hung out in the same crowd. I wouldn’t call us friends, I wouldn’t call us not friends. We were friends in the same group, but not the closest with each-other. She dated a guy named Chris and I dated a guy named Shawn (barf) and we all hung out, etc. etc. Such is high school. She and Chris broke up, and I dated him. And married him. (not in high school) SO Toni is actually my husbands ex girlfriend. HAHA! Chew on that a little bit.

Through the wonders of Internet technology and myspace, Toni found me and in all her kindness, became overly involved in the nicest way in my life and joined my moms forum online. It was completely ODD in the beginning. Here is this chick, I barely know as an adult and knew like years ago, joining the one place I talk every day. How the hell was I going to talk about my husband now there? Luckily for me, she wormed her way in, because she is truly the closest friend I have. She has been wonderful. It has been great to get to know her as an adult and her family the past few years. THankfully, she isnt an annoying cheerleader any more. Cough, Cough.

Enter Alicia. I swear, this sounds nuts. Toni invites Alicia to the moms forum online…Alicia is married to Toni’s oldest sons father. Honestly, Toni is a saint for all of us to talk to her. I mean…TECHNICALLY she has slept with my husband AND Alicia’s husband and here we all are, not only coexisting for several years online together chatting everyday, but also meeting up when we can and talking on the phone about 50 times a day, and now, working together on this site!

Alicia is also a wonderful person. Thankfully, she has never dated my husband or me, hers. Those two girls are SO nice compared to me. I’m the crazy, wild friend that tells you to suck it up, soldier, I am usually the leader, the person that pushes everyone really hard, and they are the girls that keep me grounded, help me when I am going nuts, and keep it all organized.  They are the friends that are cute and sweet and you really have to push them to get them to be angry at all. (Unless we are talking about breastfeeding in public. Then just move over. They tag team you.)

So…wierd, huh.

This is a picture of Alicia, btw. I have to say, we are all quite hotties for being old biddies with lots of kids.

What a story! It’s fun to see how people have changed since highschool–well our perception of them at least!
