10) Back at the Barnyard: My husband is making me add this one. He thinks its stupid, has no plot, and is a waste of TV space. With voices like Wanda Sykes, it can have some crude humor.
But I heard him laughing at it yesterday……..
9) Lazy-Town: If anyone breaks out into song anymore, I’m going to bust the TV. The whole creepy guy that follows the girl around half the day, is way too freaky for me. He looks like he should be registered. You know what I mean.
The Upside Down Show: I cannot STAND this show. How in the world did we give these two guys a show on kids tv? If acting stupid for 30 min is the only requirement, I get it. The whole “remote” theory is totally something I want to argue with my 4 year old over. But if I can hit rewind and you would never exist, your onto something.
7) Wubbzy: Is wubbzy a boy or a girl?
6) Oobie: I cant wait to teach my child that speaking in half sentences make sense to….someone else who speaks in half sentences. Its not even the hands that are creepy…if you have seen their friend Freda (the foot) you will get nice and weirded out permanently.
5) Caillou: He is the whiniest kid out there…and did I miss why he has NO hair? Not any at all?
4) Booh Bah: What ARE these things? Mutated Marshmallows? Left over Teletubbie poops?
3) Yo Gabba Gabba: this import show can go back to the country from which it hailed from. I get that the bright colors keep kids attention, but its enough to make me feel like watching Barney is an Academy Award winning movie.
Does it remind anyone else of a cult?
2) Teletubbies: please tell me they have retired this show off of TV. Im not sure what is worse…the fact that Simon Cowell is the reason we see this crap on American television, or that they don’t speak a lick of real language with the characters. This is almost the worst children’s show on TV. I cant take you seriously anymore, Simon. You wouldn’t know crap if it showed up and you signed it.

Max and Ruby. Need I say more? Ruby is the biggest bossy B*otch on children’s television. And whats the deal with the no parents around? Maybe if they had parents around, ruby wouldn’t be treating Max like an invalid while she stands around being a bossy know-it-all all day.
What show do YOU hate the most?
I haven’t seen all of these shows. But I agree that Calilou is whiny, Obie would be no. 1 on my list – full sentences please, I like the song with Max and Ruby but where are the parents? I used to feel the same way you do about Yo Gabba Gabba but I gave it a chance and just for the music alone I give it two thumbs up. And it teaches really good lessons – you just have to get past the initial weirdness. I wrote a post about the show that is scheduled for this upcoming week.

I’ve got a one for… What’s the reason behind Sponge Bob Squarepants…. my three year old is starting to like it… but yanno I think I’d rather him watch Sponge Bob over those that are listed here. LOL
I saw parts of that Lazy Town!! OMG! is all I will say.
Wow. I am glad somebody else is thinking the same things as I am! I was starting to feel evil…lol. I am not really sure what happened to plain old cartoons!
I was disturbed by Yo Gabba Gabba at first, but I feel like I understand it more now that I know the Mark’s Magic Pictures guy was in DEVO. They also have had some cool guests like Biz Markie, Sugarland, Tony Hawk, Low, Laila Ali, Elijah Wood. I’m not sure it is an import, but it does also air in UK and Australia.
I think Caillou and Max and Ruby are sweet! I like the way they are polite and patient.
Wubzy is a fave at our house. He is kind of like “Pat”. They call him a he, but I always think he is female.
My “bad” list would include: SpongeBob, Ben10, and I agree, just about anything on Cartoon Network.
I think #10 could be replaced by about 90% of the cartoons at Cartoon Network. Boobah and Oobi would be higher up on my list too.
I didn’t know Yo Gabba Gabba was an import. Is it from Australia? All the really annoying shows we get start there ya know. Oh, like Hi-5, Teletubbies, Bananas in Pajamas, the Wiggles, and I know there’s more.
I hate Lazy town, not only is it creepy, I think it teaches kids to do bad things. The doodlebops are also very annoying, and I can’t believe sponge bob didnt’ make the list. I can’t even understand half of what he is saying. Another one I hate is that “Brandy and Mr. Whiskers” also very stupid! OH, and don’t forget the Ozzie boo’s. The narrator guy’s voice totally creeps me out!
I agree with just about all of those! And I would add Barney, Doodlebops, and Spongebob to those also. We do like Max and Ruby though, and I have to admit to a strange fascination with Oobie, although we don’t watch it anymore.
OMG Hilarous!!!!! I totally know everyone of those and totally agree. Lazy town is a new discovery for us and so creepy? the Yo Gabba Gabba is just werid and Max and Ruby haa haa I know where the hell are the parents? We see Grandma but where are the parents? I think Wubzy is a boy ? He wears boys underwear but has a girl voice? And the cailou is bald! Its like you were in my brain for a moment. Hilarious!
I haven’t see all of these, but The Teletubbie give me the heebie jeebies! I didn’t see the Wiggles though, and I can’t stand that one! lol!
From day ONE, I’ve wanted to know why Max & Ruby never had parents. It just never made sense to me!!!
And I can’t freaking STAND Caliou. He is Whiny. He is spoiled. His dad is whipped by his mother. I think the whole family is dysfunctional. Did you ever notice that he’s ALWAYS wearing shorts and a t-shirt and the rest of the family is dressed in like long pants or dresses? Why do they stick the whiny kid in shorts?
And I have to disagree about Lazy town. I used to freaking love that show, and I had *the* biggest crush on the guy who played Sportacus. Yum! LOL

I haven’t seen half of these, thank God, unfortunately, my boy thinks Caillou is awesome. Luckily, he has the attention span of a gnat, so I only have to watch about 3 minutes of it!

Ha Ha!! I’m cracking up about your “Ruby” comment!! It’s hilarious because my daughter LOVES this show. When she’s done watching it she always bosses around her younger brother the same way Ruby does. Right now he tolerates it because he doesn’t know any better. I’m sure some day soon he’ll tell her where to go! I’ve decided letting my kids watch Calliou is like training them to be bratty. Man, he’s a whiney spoiled brat!
As annoying as Barney is, this is the one show I don’t mind. At least it teaches to be considerate and polite. I also love Sesame Street and Backyardigans.
I agree about most of them – but Babe loves ‘em and they do teach some lessons so I don’t ban them from the television. Yo Gabba Gabba is the most annoying of all. It’s like all the ravers and druggies from high school grew up and had kids and, in their efforts to be the “cool” parents, developed shows that would look better if they were on acid. Which, in all fairness, they probably are once the kids go to sleep.
I loved this post! And as much as those shows annoy me, I also LOVE them because they allow me a few minutes here and there to get stuff done around the house without someone yelling “MOMMY!!”. And I dont want to offend anyone but Boobah looks like, um….male genitalia. Check it out, really, it makes you wonder how stuff like that makes it onto television.

I agree with every single one of those shows EXCEPT the Yo Gabba Gabba show. I admit it is different but if you saw exactly how happy it makes my child, I figure she deserves that little bit of happiness. After all it isn’t spongebob who annoys the H^%$ out of me but my DH and all the kids love it. If my husband and I don’t damage her while raising her, a few minutes of Big Biz can’t do much worse! Haha . ROFL at the Teletubbie poop!

OMG I love Max & Ruby…and Teletubbies…and Oobie! They are the best every.
My top hate list is The Wiggles (i watch it but hate it to death) and ughhh….Barney. I swore I’d never let my child watch this dreadful show but Kaydee loves the big purple goober.
