These are great plugins – I’ve heard of some of them before but I’m going to check out some that are unfamiliar to me.

I really love WP-SpamFree – it’s even BETTER than Akismet at blocking spam.

I also love MaxBlogPress Favicon – you can create your own little favicon so when people bookmark your blog, it has the cute little icon. It’s a simple way to further your branding efforts.

I use all of those except for the comment numbering (I coded my own into my theme) and the IP ban (I don’t suppose I’m popular enough to need that quite yet LOL). Oh and the Linky one. I do use Mr Linky but I’m old school. I get the code from misterlinky.net and add it to my post. I’m totally installing that plug in now that I know it exists

Great list! I’m creating a new site now and bringing an old blog back to life so I’ll definitely be adding these suggestions to both sites (not that I see anyone stalking me – EVAH – but you never know. Still may come in handy should I ever need to)!

I think you just leveled up in coolness too – I had no idea you created your own theme!
