Seriously, why does does it look like toys have been thrown up all over the place in my girl toyroom? It never fails that whenever I clean up their toys, organize their toys, or just put away their toys the next day its a mess. It’s horrible. Some days I just want to throw out all their toys and start with the bare minimum. I really, really feel like they have too many and that I can never keep up. Part of me hates to have plastic toys in my house and I would much rather have nice wooden toys that make the girls think and expand their brain more than I think they do now. But who knows…

I think my girls favorite toy and the one I would definitely keep is their doll house. I love doll houses and think every little girl should have one. They can sit and play with all the people in there for HOURS. Its neat to see how they perceive how a home should work-and can tell you about your parenting skills quite quickly. Another favorite toy in our house is thier tea set.  They always set up tea parties for each other and all their animals.

Basically if I had my way I would want them to only have a handful of toys or  the ability to be able to rotate the toys out. It’s just not realistic!

Picking up the post! Its me Trisha! You like these dual posts? LOL! Checking out Alicias post here and butting in. In our playroom Charlotte has her old crib set up like a daybed with her stuffed animals, a play kitchen she never touches, her indoor trampoline and a train table with no train. I need to have garage sale. It’s basically a room of very large items and over half we could use to get rid of.

Charlotte also has a dollhouse too and its great! (if you go to this page and go to the one titled Dollhouse Mansion near the bottom, that’s the one we have) Our problem is that its in her bedroom and she doesn’t seem to go in there as often. She played it a lot more when it was downstairs, but seriously, my living room was turning into the playroom and I couldn’t take it anymore.

I was checking out this Best Toys 2009 website and going through to see what they believe are the best for the year. Low and Beyhold……..a dollhouse! You can find other top toys of the year here:

When I was little, the coolest thing I had was like a smell good strawberry shortcake, some phones that connected to wires from the other room and you could talk to each other (yeah, walkie talkies weren’t around yet, lol) and a cloud keeper from care bears. Incidentally, Charlotte loves care bears so its sorta nostalgic for me.

Oh Man, someone should write the Hot Toys Guide and tell them to take off the Computer Cool School from Fisher Price. Its only for RIGHT HANDED KIDS and Fisher Price has yet to answer my call or my email I had to them over that.

Jerks.

We can’t be the only one with a toy problem in our house, right?
