Twilight Sexually Charged Ad?

I notice everything. Maybe its my personality, maybe its because advertising and corporate branding is part of my online world, but not an ad goes by that I don’t inspect.

Yesterday when I walked by this big ad for Twilight in the mall, I did a double take. What do my wondering eyes should appear but crotch level shots of the hottest heartthrobs in America.

Now is it just me or is there a reason they put these life-size cutouts a foot off the ground so when you walk by you get pee-pee visuals? Strategically placed marketing ploy to get girls excited?

Just so you know for measurements sake, Im about 61 inches tall. I bet an average preteen is about 55 inches tall, which puts that right about face level, if you get my drift.

Am I over analyzing or something to it?

P.S. Dont think it didn’t cross my mind to be totally inappropriate in this shot.

  1. That’s how I feel when I am in my wheelchair in public… I get a “birds-eye” view of everyone’s crotch and hiney, and believe me that I really DO NOT want to see several of them!!
    Disney World is the worst place to see all these “pieces-parts!”
    {Shivers uncontrollably.}

  2. Twilight is basically a cleaned up version of True Blood anyway. Which has its fair share of sex, and which I am sure plenty of teens already watch. I guess I will be the odd one out and wish that Twilight was a little bit more real with sex. Not that slow overlay of sexual tension be that you could cut with a knife that Edward and Bella currently display in the movies.
