Type A Mom Round Up

I know everyone is waiting on big fat dirt spill from me regarding the Type A Mom conference, but I truly had a wonderful time.  It was so much better than BlogHer and Type A Mom may have restored my faith in blog conferences again.

Now that doesn’t mean I wasn’t inspired by things I saw or hear that will bring out some of my more colorful language and opinions in later articles.

You can look forward to me posting this week about:

  • Does the sex industry belong in the mom industry
  • PR demanding “professionalism” from Bloggers -this may include some not so nice things. I promised Ali from Blissfully Domestic I would go easy on the F word, but I am not sure. I’ll try.
  • Do speakers have responsibility to not offend at conferences?
  • Contest Traffic- more educational post
  • Is TwitterMoms using the blogosphere and mom bloggers? Me Thinks Yes.

Thank you to everyone that tolerated my very obnoxious and busy personality. Thank you also to Extraordinary Mommy (@ExtraordMommy) and Dr Mommy (@DrMommy) for providing some of the pictures of us together. Make sure you visit these ladies fabulous sites and follow them on twitter. They are both amazing women.

  1. You aren’t old enough to be a cougar yet…neither is Kadi. Everytime I hear that expression, I can’t help but think of Saturday Night Live…anyways, I had a great time.

  2. Great post! It was truly a pleasure meeting you at TypeAMom (I was the one rockin’ the blinds.com t-shirt!). As my first blogging conference — I am so glad I decided at the last minute to attend.

I agree with you on the sex industry. I will NOT review any adult products on my blog. Don’t like the association of a professional conference with the sex industry. Period.

If PR companies want professionalism from bloggers, then PR/brands need to pay bloggers to review their products.

    Looking forward to your posts!

  3. (blush) :)

  4. That looks like fun. did you guys have a fashion show, too? Cool! LOL

And how can you and Kadi be cougars? I thought you had to be over 40 for that? I think you are all more in the MILF category. LMAO

Can’t wait for the TwitterMoms article.

  8. Katja says:

It was a great, great conference, the best one I’ve ever attended, and like you said; restored the faith not just to conferences.. but mommy blogging in general as a community that can support each others. Loved seeing you and Kadi, and you guys totally rocked the cougar look LOL

yeah!!! I can’t wait to read your posts! I’ve been going back and forth about attending some conferences next year. After hearing all the BlogHer reports, I have to admit the conference circuit didn’t sound that fun. I am so glad to hear this one was different. I’m excited to see your “take” on things.

    xoxo, K
